The modular pallet comprises a plurality of hollow legs integral to an inner side of the sidewall and a plurality of interlocking means integral to an outer side of the sidewall for coupling other modular pallets laterally, wherein each of the hollow legs comprises a top opening aligned with the top surface of the pallet and a bottom opening further away from the bottom surface of the pallet, and a top groove along a peripheral edge of the top opening and a bottom groove along a circumference of the hollow leg adjacent to the bottom surface. A multilayer support structure comprises at least two layers of the modular pallets separated by a plurality of hollow support columns for being positioned under the ground to support a hardscape/softscape disposed thereon while enable for tree roots growth, water drainage and storage of utilities.

Disclosed is a transport system (100), including: a pallet (110), formed from plastic, wherein the pallet extends heightwise from a pallet top deck (130) to a pallet bottom deck (140) to define a pallet height, lengthwise from a pallet forward end (160) to a pallet aft end (170) to define a pallet length, and widthwise from a pallet first side (190) to a pallet second side (200) to define a pallet width, wherein the pallet bottom deck defines a pocket (210), the pocket defines a pocket sidewall that extends heightwise into the pallet, from the pallet bottom deck to a pocket base to define a pocket height; and a pad (240), formed of an elastomer, having complementary shape to the pocket and configured to be removably secured within the pocket, to define a pallet foot.

An apparatus for forming monolithic compressed wood pallets with increased load capacity includes

a storage component having a chamber for collecting the mixture, inside which a first conveyor belt is accommodated for feeding a uniform layer of mixture toward an outlet. The first belt is wound around at least one motorized roller and entrained by it with a feed speed.

The apparatus also includes a pressing component with a lower mold part and an upper mold part between which a receptacle for forming a pallet is provided.

A second conveyor belt is interposed between the storage component and the pressing component. The apparatus further includes a component for modulating at least one among feed speed, the advancement speed, and the translation speed so as to obtain adjustment of quantity of mixture loaded/unloaded on/from upper portion of the second belt along an extension of the mat.

A pallet module configured to allow formation of a nested pallet assembly of at least two similar pallet modules, including a main structural body having a generally quadrilateral peripheral border with first to fourth lateral sides, first and second lateral flanges extending outwardly from the peripheral border along the first and second lateral sides and configured to cooperate with first and second lateral grooves extending inwardly from the peripheral border along the third and fourth lateral sides of another similar pallet module to form the nested pallet assembly, a foot structure disposed on a lower side of the main structural body, and first and second toggle latch components arranged in the vicinity of the first and second lateral sides, respectively, configured to cooperate and releasably interlock with third and fourth toggle latch components arranged in the vicinity of the third and fourth lateral sides, respectively, of another similar pallet module.

A modular pallet assembly formed of a plurality of physically interconnected pallet modules that are each configured to nest one within another. At least one of the pallet modules is designed as an active, primary pallet module including primary hardware configured to actively handle and manage at least one primary functionality of the entire pallet assembly. The remaining pallet modules, beyond the primary pallet module, delegate the primary functionality to the primary pallet module. The remaining pallet modules may be passive, secondary pallet modules configured to supplement or enable part of the primary functionality that is actively handled and managed by the primary hardware.

A pallet includes an integral single unitary body that may include first and second outer runners continuously extending along first and second outer sides of the pallet from a third side of the pallet to a fourth opposite side of the pallet. Each of the first and second outer runners may include an elongate upwardly facing channel, a bottom wall having an upper surface forming a floor of the channel, sidewalls upwardly extending from the bottom wall and diverging from one another, side wall lips outwardly extending from the sidewalls, end walls upwardly extending from the bottom wall and diverging from one another, end wall lips outwardly extending from the end walls and end wall skirts extending downwardly from and hanging from the end wall lips. At least one deck portion is between the first and second outer runners.

A pallet includes an integral single unitary body that may include first and second outer runners continuously extending along first and second outer sides of the pallet from a third side of the pallet to a fourth opposite side of the pallet. Each of the first and second outer runners may include an elongate upwardly facing channel, a bottom wall having an upper surface forming a floor of the channel, sidewalls upwardly extending from the bottom wall and diverging from one another, side wall lips outwardly extending from the sidewalls, end walls upwardly extending from the bottom wall and diverging from one another, end wall lips outwardly extending from the end walls and end wall skirts extending downwardly from and hanging from the end wall lips. At least one deck portion is between the first and second outer runners.

A pallet comprising means to secure a tarp or plastic covering is designed to minimize the amount of plastic wrap or tarp required and to be simply employed. The securement means of the present invention are at least partially integrated with the pallet and do not interfere with the other operative loading features of the tray or pallet. In general, the means to secure comprise an opening integral to a side or end of the pallet, opening to the bottom edge, and shaped to both accept and secure a portion of the covering.

The present invention is directed to a pallet formed from a plurality of layers of sheeting. the pallet comprising: one or more upper liner layers of sheeting; two or more feet; a lower supporting layer of sheeting including a plurality of foldable flaps; wherein the foldable flaps are adapted to locate and hold the feet between the lower supporting layer and the upper liner layers. The invention is also directed to a method of manufacturing a pallet, the method including the following steps: forming a deck comprising one or more upper liner layers; forming a plurality of feet; forming a lower supporting layer, wherein the lower supporting layer includes a plurality of foldable flaps adapted to locate and hold the feet between the lower supporting layer and the upper liner layers; joining the plurality of feet to the lower supporting layer; and joining the deck to the plurality of feet.
