The latching assembly may comprise a latch body, a locking member, a biasing member, and an activating member. This invention is a portable beverage cooler that dispenses two kinds of beverages within the same cooler. This is possible by dividing the cooler in the middle with a single partition to separate the two beverages. Both sides have a separate and detachable lid for adding the desired beverage. It is designed as a tall rectangle shape with handles to make it easy to carry to a location and transport from a vehicle. Durable plastic for the product material is used to keep the container weight light enough to carry. The beverage cooler is propped up at waist high onto a table for easy access. Each side of the cooler has a valve to dispense the beverage. A cup is placed below the valve to release the desired beverage into the cup. Lids can be removed separately to confine the beverage to the section, when more beverage is added to the cooler and for easy access.

The invention consists of a cooler system entailing a foamed polymer body coated in a layer of elastomer and secured with a strap system. The body of the cooler consists of a base which serves as a container for beverages or other products as well as a lid, designed to fit the base such that it can only be removed by lifting upward. The foamed polymer provides insulation and structure while the elastomer coating and the straps provide increased durability and functionality. The body of the cooler contains grooves in which the straps are housed in order to secure the lid. The strap system also provides a means for carrying the invention as an anchoring place for handles. The resulting cooler system is lightweight and durable as well as inexpensive to construct.

Portable beverage coolers and methods of using the same. An exemplary cooler described herein comprises an outer shell having a general shape as a container, suitable to receive contents therein, a handle pivotally coupled to the outer shell a removable insert configured to fit within the outer shell, said insert configured to receive a liquid or other items therein, and a hinged lid coupled to the outer shell. Said coolers are configured to retain a beverage therein, maintaining a desired cold temperature, and to dispense beverage directly therefrom via a tap.
