The carrier (90) further comprises a partition structure (P1, P2) dividing the interior chamber into two or more article-receiving cells.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a carton for packaging one or more articles, a blank for forming the carton and a method of packaging articles. The carton comprises a plurality of panels forming walls of a tubular structure including a top wall, a first side wall, a base wall, and a second side wall. An end closure structure at least partially closes an end of the tubular structure. The end closure structure includes: a top end closure flap having a handle opening forming a carrying handle; a side end closure flap coupled to one of the first and second side walls; and a web panel interconnecting the top end closure flap to the side end closure flap. The web panel is hingedly connected to the top end closure flap and is hingedly connected to the side end closure flap along a fold line.

The article carrier comprises a carrying handle (H) including a handle feature defined in at least the top panel and foldable handle structure (HS) having opposed connecting panels and a handle strap. Aspects of the disclosure relate to a nestable blank for forming a basket-style carrier. The blank comprises a plurality of panels for forming walls of the carrier, which panels include a first side panel, a second side panel and a bottom panel. The first side panel is hinged to the bottom panel and the bottom panel is asymmetrical. The bottom panel has first and second opposed end edges, and the first end edge is offset from a first end edge of the adjacent first side panel by a first distance. The second end edge of the bottom panel is offset from a second end edge of the adjacent first side panel by a second distance, and the first distance is greater than the second distance. The bottom panel also comprises a beveled corner.

An aspect of the invention provides an article carrier comprising a plurality of primary panels (812,814,816) at least partially extending around an interior of the article carrier. The plurality of primary panels comprises a first side panel (812), a top panel (814), a second side pane (816)1 and at least one bottom panel joined together to form a tubular structure having first and second opposed open ends. The article carrier comprises a carrying handle (H) including a handle feature defined in at least the top panel and foldable handle structure (HS) having opposed connecting panels and a handle strap. The article carrier has an at least double-ply strap handle at one or both of the opposed ends thereof. The article carrier comprises an end bridging strap 12a, 12b hingedly connected to a reinforcing strap 14,16 along their respective upper edges. The reinforcing strap is secured at its opposite ends to side panels 18, 20 of the carrier.

The carton comprises a handle feature including first (20) and second (22) handle panels in a face-contacting relationship. The first handle panel (20) is hingedly connected to, and disposed in a face-contacting relationship with, the top wall. The second handle panel (22) is detachably connected to a top end flap (38A, 40A, 38B, 40B) along a frangible line such that when the frangible line is broken, the handle feature is hingedly movable to a use position where the handle feature extends above the top wall.
