TAMPER EVIDENT CONTAINER
A tamper evident closure includes a first snap, a second snap, a tear strip connected to the second snap, and a first projection extending around three sides of the first snap. In a closed position, the second snap is positioned in a cavity of the first snap, and the first projection surrounds three sides of the second snap that is positioned in the cavity of the first snap.
INSULATING HOLDER AND METHOD FOR TRANSPORTING BEVERAGES
The invention provides an insulating transport container (10) for transportation of beverages in ready to drink on demand beverage containers over short distances where temperature control is needed inside the beverage container when transporting the hot or cold beverages and which includes an insulating holder for cups (34) positioned or placed therein, which insulating holder (25) reduces temperature changes and inhibits spillage during transportation of cups (34) containing a beverage, wherein the holder includes one or more self supporting resiliently deformable insulating material portions with at least one portion (24) having a plurality of cup receiving cavities (26), which holder is sized and dimensioned to be placed inside the transport container for the transportation of beverages. The invention further provides an insert cover (50) for a beverage cup, said insert cover being a sheet of food grade material which is larger or equivalent in diameter to the top of the cup on which it is to be used and, in use, is placed or inserted to form a cover insert between the top of the cup and a sealing lid, provided that the cover is not sealed or otherwise secured to the cup prior to placing of the lid onto the cup and is only inserted after a beverage has been dispensed into the cup. The invention extends to a method of transporting a beverage.
Receptacle for minimizing evaporation of a fluid
A receptacle for minimizing evaporation of a fluid includes a single-piece body, a fluid-tight seal, a penetrable septum, and a lid. The body includes a chamber having an opening. The fluid-tight seal is affixed to a surface of the body that defines the first opening. The fluid-tight seal covers the opening and is frangible. The septum covers the opening and the fluid-tight seal. The septum includes at least one slit forming slats. The lid has an opening axially aligned with the opening and is coupled to the body such that at least a portion of the septum is disposed between the lid and the fluid-tight seal.
Locking lid
A vessel with a locking lid has a spindle button. The spindle but has downwardly facing button teeth. The lid frame receives the spindle button in a vertical sliding configuration. The actuator gear is mounted under the spindle button in the lid frame. The actuator gear engages the downwardly facing button teeth. The spindle button is configured to move the actuator gear by one step when the spindle button is pressed down. A lid frame inside surface has an upper engagement and a lower engagement. The actuator gear is configured to alternate between the upper engagement and the lower engagement when the actuator gear moves by one step. A spindle body abuts and is biased upwardly against the actuator gear. The spindle body actuates locking arms mounted on locking arm pivots formed on the spindle body.
COVER FOR A CONTAINER
A cover for a container, comprising a central web comprising a first web part and a second web part; and a hinge pivotally connecting the first and second web parts; wherein a first one of the web parts comprises at least one rib on an edge thereof facing the hinge, and a second one of the web parts comprises at least one corresponding recess on an edge thereof facing the hinge.
Drinking Vessel Monitor
A drinking vessel monitor in the form of a lid with a protective disc of rigid material and a depending skirt. A key operated mechanical linkage is connected to contact members underlying the protective disc. Springs cause the contact members to pivot outwardly upon removal of the lid from a drinking vessel. Without the key to operate the mechanical linkage, the contact members hidden within the skirt cannot be retracted sufficiently to place the lid back on the drinking vessel. Optionally, an electrical circuit can be added with a signal generator which generates a visual or audible signal if tampering has occurred.
FOOD ARRANGEMENT
A food arrangement with at least one receptacle which is filled with a liquid, sterile food; a connector, which is introduced into the receptacle and has a pierced membrane arranged in a filler neck; and a tamper-evident seal, which is connected to the connector and closes the filler neck. A sterile food arrangement is thus made available, without the need for final autoclaving of the entire filled receptacle.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND APPARATUSES FOR CRYPTOGRAPHIC WIRELESS DETECTION AND AUTHENTICATION OF FLUIDS
A system for cryptographic wireless detection and authentication of fluids includes a computing device configured to receive, from a transmitter attached to a container, a unique identifier associated with a fluid contained in the container, locate, at an immutable sequential listing, at least an identifier-specific record using the unique identifier, and a lot identifier associated with the unique identifier, retrieve, from the immutable sequential listing, at least a lot-specific record using the lot identifier, capture, from the container, at least a secondary datum describing the container, generate an authenticity probability score as a function of the at least an identifier-specific record, the at least a lot-specific record, and the at least a secondary datum, and display to a user an output based on the authenticity probability score.
Container construction with elevating bag
The invention is drawn to a container comprising a bottom wall and at least one sidewall connected to the bottom wall which form a container interior. The sidewall terminates in a rolled edge opposite the bottom wall and has an inner and an outer surface. A flexible bag having an open end is disposed within the interior of the container. A slide ring comprises a circumferential portion which is substantially vertical or vertical and a finger extending therefrom and is affixed to the open end of the bag and disposed adjacent the outer surface of the sidewall, below the rolled edge. The finger of the slide ring is angled inwardly toward the sidewall and frictionally engages the sidewall. Vertical adjustment of the slide ring vertically adjusts the bag within the interior of the container.
Container structure with a built-in opening and reclosing feature
Containers are described that allow a consumer to see inside the container and to more easily access the products. One form of the container includes a base member with a lid defining a window. A flexible laminate with a peelable flap portion is attached to the lid to provide access to the products inside. The flexible laminate includes a first film layer laminated to a second film layer. The first film layer includes a first cut line defining a peelable flap portion and the second film layer includes a second cut line offset from the first cut line that defines an opening into the container. First and second reclose surfaces defined between the cut lines on the corresponding film layers include pressure-sensitive adhesive to allow the container to be re-sealed via movement of the peelable flap portion back into engagement with the flexible laminate remaining with the container.
