Provided is an inexpensive packaging member whereby musical drums can be packaged for transportation, in a short time and in the most compact manner, and can be safely transported. The packaging member can be inexpensively produced using a simple structure whereby cardboard or other sheet member is cut in a predefined shape and perforations are made therein. Furthermore, the packaging member is flat-packed and therefore does not occupy space during transportation and storage. In addition, packaging time can be shortened and drums can be safely transported. The flat-packed packaging member can be reused countless times if the contents are the same size.

A divider for a shipping container is formed from a single sheet of material. The divider includes a front panel having a plurality of feet; a first platform panel attached to the front panel along a first fold line; at least one divider assembly, and a rear panel having a plurality of feet. Each divider assembly in turn includes a divider interconnector panel to interconnect the divider assembly to a preceding panel; a divider wall panel attached to the divider interconnector panel along an interconnector-wall fold line; and a divider platform panel attached to the divider wall panel along a wall-platform fold line. The at least one divider assembly is attached to the first platform panel along a first divider assembly fold line and to the rear panel along a final divider assembly fold line.

Packaging container having a chamber wherein the chamber comprises a plurality of corresponding products (1) sized such that a number of such products essentially completely fills the chamber, the packaging comprising at least one removable portion (4, 6) dimensioned such that the at least one removable portion (4, 6) can be removed from the packaging, rearranged to adopt an expanded form and placed within the chamber, having the effect of reducing the volume of the chamber available for the products (1) by n times the volume of a contained product (1), where n is an integer, whilst retaining the feature that a number of such products (1) essentially completely fills the chamber.

A divider that has a die-cut board that is grease resistant coated on both sides and is scored to define a plurality of alternative valley and peak folds. There is at least one perforated line that passes through all of the valley and peak folds. The divider may taper at its sides from the peak folds to neighboring ones of the valley folds. Two perforated lines may be provided to sever the tapers from the sides to leave the sides substantially reside in parallel planes with respect to each other.
