A housing unit for cigars with the main compartment having a cuboid shape. The cigar box has a rear wall having a height equal to a front wall, a bottom floor, a left-side wall having a height equal to a right-side wall and a two-part lid located on a top of the main compartment. The two-part lid has a rectangular portion hingably connected to a second rectangular portion with a first hinge that hingably connects the first rectangular portion with the second rectangular portion so that the first rectangular portion rotates about 180 degrees with respect to the second rectangular portion. The cigar box also has a second hinge that rotatably connects a rear of the second rectangular portion to a top of the rear wall such that the second rectangular portion rotates about 225 degrees with respect to the rear wall.

A storage tube assembly, with a cap having a top surface and a sealing member connected to the top surface, the sealing member has a generally cylindrical upper wall and a generally cylindrical lower wall, the sealing member also has a recessed portion between the upper wall and lower wall and a flange cut into the lower wall; a sealing ring, the sealing ring is sized to cooperate with and be received in the recessed portion of the sealing member of the cap; and a tube, the tube has a generally circular inner wall with a cut therein, the cut in the inner wall is positioned to receive the sealing ring when the sealing ring is positioned within the recessed portion of the cap and the cap is placed into an open end of the tube.

The present invention is directed to a pouch pack made up of a plurality of pouches where each pouch is a re-sealable container for preserving single or multiple cigars or single or multiple cigar tobacco leaves. A perforation allows the pouch pack to be separated into the individual pouches without damage to the pouches. A vent/seal allows the atmosphere in the pouch to be controlled. A form encases the cigar tobacco leaf in the pouch pack while allowing the cigar tobacco leaf to equilibrate with the atmosphere in the pouch which is controlled by one or more of a humectant, a vent/seal and a sensor to control the humidity in the pouch. In an embodiment of the invention, the form is one or more wrapped cigar tobacco leaves. A mold protects a cigar or a cigar tobacco leaf from damage by an external force exerted on the pouch or pouch pack.

The system includes a plurality of near field communication (NFC) tags configured for coupling to a variety of consumer products, the tags programmed to provide identifying data associated with a single consumer product to an NFC-capable mobile computing device, the NFC having a structure that detects opening of the consumer product, a central database for storing said data, a server communicably connected to a communications network and configured to access the database, and a mobile application executing on a mobile computing device, configured to read said identifying data from the NFC tag and communicate said identifying data to the server.
