A refuse receptacle is disclosed, having a body with an upper and a lower portion, the upper portion having a top rim forming a gusset with a vertical wall and a horizontal wall, the lower portion having a bottom side with a base rim. On the back side of the upper portion is a handle attached to the body of the receptacle. The handle is attached to the upper portion by at least one projecting sidewall. A lid is included, having a convex upper surface and two sets of opposing sidewalls. The opposing sidewalls correspond with the top rim of the body. The lid includes at least one projection to attach to the handle with a securing plate and fastener. The lower portion includes a drainage plug so that liquids within the body can be easily drained. A pair of wheels are connected by an axle and housed within wheel recesses.

Self-loading receptacle liner apparatus

A self-loading receptacle liner apparatus has a pair of parallel tubes, each with a longitudinal slot extending the length of the tube. The slot center widens to a notch. The tube ends are attached together by two elastic bands with the slots facing each other. Each of a nested set of liners has a drawstring within a passage at the top of the liner and accessible through an opening in the passage. The stacked liners passages are slid into the slot until the drawstring openings align with the notch. The stacked liners are placed in the receptacle, and the tubes pulled apart until they straddle the receptacle opening and placed against the outside of the receptacle. When the upper-most liner is full, the drawstrings are pulled from the notch to cinch the top of the liner, simultaneously pulling the liner from the slots, leaving the next liner ready for use.

The spacer is removably securable to the axle adjacent the wheel in (i) a first position inward of the wheel to operably retain the wheel in the outer position, and (ii) in a second position outward of the wheel to operably retain the wheel in the inner position.

Various trash can assembly embodiments are disclosed. In some embodiments, the trash can assembly includes a body and a lid assembly. The lid assembly can include a lid, and a multicomponent trim ring. The lid assembly can be rotatably connected with the body via a hinge unit. In certain embodiments, a flange of the trim ring is guided into and/or received into the hinge unit. A translating pin of the hinge unit can engage into the flange, thereby providing a rotatable connection between the trim ring and the body. In various embodiments, the translating pin is coupled with a handle to facilitate movement of the pin by a user during engagement of the trim ring and the hinge unit. A positioner can help to position the trash can against or adjacent to a wall or other structure. The movement of both the trim ring and the lid can be dampened.

A waste-basket-liner-bag-retaining apparatus including a pair of liner bag retaining apertures formed on opposing sides of a waste basket to receive and secure a waste basket liner bag. Reusable aperture covers can be secured over the apertures to occlude the apertures. A waste-basket-liner-bag-retaining apparatus includes hook inserts secured to either side of a waste basket to provide hooks for retaining an end of a waste basket liner bag. In another embodiment, two sets of magnets, each set formed within, or secured to inner surfaces of, opposing waste basket container walls of a waste basket container that secured magnetized hooks. A waste-basket-liner-bag-retaining apparatus includes apertures formed on opposing sides of a waste basket container, each with a retractable cover to secure portions of a liner bag in the apertures. The retractable covers may include rotatable bag retaining tabs.

Container with diverter bar

A container includes a base and a wall disposed about and attached to the base. The wall defines a rim spaced from the base, as well as a compartment extending between the base and the wall. A lid having an inner surface and an outer surface is coupled to the wall for covering the compartment. The container has a diverter bar for separating the compartment into at least two sections in a first position. The diverter bar has a body that extends between body ends, with the body releasably engaging the wall in the first position. A retainer attaches to the lid for receiving the diverter bar and securing the diverter bar to the lid to define a storage position. A lip extends outwardly from the body whereby the lip engages the retainer in response to the diverter bar being in the storage position.

Waste Receptacle

A waste receptacle includes a housing defining a rim, the rim defining a rim opening configured to receive a liner. The waste receptacle may include a plurality of retention tabs extending from the rim. At least one retention tab of the plurality of retention tabs extends outward relative to the rim opening. The waste receptacle may include a lid, a lift-rod, a pedal operatively coupled to the lift-rod, and a locking tab configured to lock or unlock the lift-rod. The waste receptacle may include a foldable pedal being foldable about a fold axis between a pedal-extended configuration and a pedal-folded configuration. The waste receptacle may include a plurality of dampening feet.

Lower portions of an appliance may be positioned in the container cavity. Optionally, the device may include an encasement which may be positioned around the upper portions of the appliance with lower portions of the encasement extending into the container cavity, thereby allowing the device to encase the appliance within the shell, cover, and encasement.
