Conveyor system with automated carriers
A method of operating a conveyor system includes providing a fixed, non-powered first rail supporting first and second trolleys of a first carrier, at least one of which is self-driving. The first and second trolley are conveyed in line along the first rail with a load bar therebetween. The first carrier defines a length measured along the first rail and a width measured transverse. The first carrier is conveyed to a branch point where a second rail branches from the first rail. The second trolley is conveyed along the second the rail to turn the first carrier so that it is conveyed with the load bar traversing between the first and second rails. The width is substantially less than the length such that the turning of the first carrier reduces an occupancy of the first carrier along the first rail.
CONVEYING SYSTEM WITH CHAIN FOR TRANSPORTING ARTICLES, IN PARTICULAR GOODS, ALONG A PREDETERMINED PATH
A conveyor installation for the transportation of articles along a predefined path includes a running rail, at least one running carriage which is freely movable along the running rail, and a driven engagement device which extends at least in sections along the running rail and which includes a multiplicity of engagement elements movable along the running rail. Reliable and quiet operation is achieved in that the engagement elements are movable back and forth between two stable positions, wherein, in the first stable position, the engagement elements can be moved relative to the at least one running carriage past the running carriage without entering into engagement with the running carriage (non-engagement position), and wherein, in the second stable position, the engagement elements, during a movement relative to the at least one running carriage past the running carriage, compulsorily enter into engagement with the at least one running carriage (engagement position).
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DISCHARGING SPOUTED CONTAINERS
The present disclosure relates to a discharge apparatus for discharging a plurality of flexible spouted containers, the apparatus comprising: a container support comprising a support element with an elongated opening for carrying a row of spouts of a plurality of spouted containers from an inlet to an outlet, wherein the inlet of the support element is configured to receive successive batches of spouted containers in the elongated opening; a biasing unit configured to move at least a subset of the spouts received inside the elongated opening in the support element towards the outlet, wherein the biasing unit further is configured to continuously apply a biasing force to the subset of spouts to continuously discharge the containers from the outlet.
CONVEYOR FOR CONVEYING SUSPENDED OBJECTS
A conveyor for suspended objects includes a first rail profile having a first upper track and a second track arranged below the first track, a conveyor chain that can be moved continuously in a direction of conveyance in the first track. The conveyor includes holding adapters for holding objects to be conveyed, with each holding adapter having a head part that is mounted so as to roll in the second track and is coupled to the conveyor chain. A sorting portion having a switch that follows in the direction of conveyance and via which the holding adapters can be transferred from the first rail profile to a second rail profile. The switch includes an overdrive and a drive belt, with the overdrive configured such that during operation the running speed of the drive belt is higher than the running speed of the conveyor chain.
CONVEYOR FOR CONVEYING SUSPENDED OBJECTS
A conveyor for suspended objects has a first rail profile having a first, upper track and a second track arranged below the first track, a conveyor chain having lateral friction roller pressing surfaces to drive the conveyor chain continuously in the first track. Holding adapters for conveyed objects are coupled to the conveyor chain, with the holding adapters being transferred into the first rail profile by an induct switch. A pressing piece arranged on a side of the conveyor chain opposite the drive roller is adjustable between an active and a passive position. The adjustment path of the pressing piece is dimensioned such that in the active position the conveyor chain is in contact with the drive roller and in the passive position the conveyor chain is not in contact with the drive roller, whereby in the active position the drive roller can be driven by the conveyor chain.
TRANSPORT CARRIER SYSTEM AND OVERHEAD CONVEYOR DEVICE COMPRISING TRANSPORT CARRIERS FOR TRANSPORTING SUSPENDED GOODS
The invention relates to a transport carrier (2) and a transport carrier system for an overhead conveying device (1), in which the transport carrier comprises a universally applicable base body (30) and supporting body (40a, 40b) exchangeable by means of a connecting device (50), which supporting body (40a, 40b) in a first configuration is provided with a completely enclosed receiving opening for transporting transport bags, and in a second configuration is provided with a suspension hook for transporting an article suspended on a clothes hanger. The connecting device (50) comprises a profile groove (60) extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (51) and a profile projection (61) extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The profile groove forms an undercut (62) and is provided with an insertion opening (63) on the end side in the direction of its longitudinal extension. The profile projection comprises a profile web (64) and a profile head (65) formed on the profile web so as to expand the cross section. Moreover, the invention relates to an overhead conveying device with such a transport carrier system and an unloading station for automatic unloading of transport bags suspended on transport carriers.
RUNNING RAIL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SUCH A RUNNING RAIL
A running rail (1) for a conveyor system, the running rail (1) having a cross-sectional profile comprising at least three interconnected profiled portions which comprise a first profiled portion (2), laterally open to the outside, for receiving first rollers (32) of a carriage (30), a second profiled portion (3), laterally open to the outside, for receiving second rollers (33) of a carriage (30), a third profiled portion (4), open in the vertical direction, for receiving third rollers (34) of a carriage (1), wherein the first (2) and the second profiled portion (3) are mirror symmetrical to a vertical central plane (40) of the running rail (1).
Article Transport Facility
An article transport facility includes an article transport vehicle which is suspended from and supported by one or more travel rails supported by a ceiling, and is configured to suspend and support an article, and to transport the article from a support platform that serves as a transport origin to another support platform that serves as a transport destination. This article transport facility has an adjusting-purpose support platform which includes an adjusting-purpose support surface on which an adjusting-purpose device, which is used for a purpose of adjusting transporting-purpose profile information, can be placed in the same manner in which an article is placed on a support platform. The adjusting-purpose support surface is capable of being moved such that a height thereof can be varied continuously between an upper limit height and a lower limit height specified in advance.
