BYPASS CARTON ACCUMULATOR
A system is provided comprising a carton conveyor and a bypass carton accumulator adjacent to, and interfaced with, the carton conveyor. The bypass carton accumulator may comprise: a carton pick apparatus comprising a carton pick head; at least one stop device comprising a stopper movable between a first and a second position; and a storage apparatus. When in the first position, the stopper does not interfere with the flow of cartons along the conveyor and when in the second position, the stopper engages with a carton to stop a flow of cartons along the conveyor. The carton pick apparatus may be configured to pick up via the carton pick head a set of cartons from a pick-up zone of the carton conveyor after the stopper has moved to its second position and place the set of cartons in the storage apparatus.
TOOL AND METHOD FOR LAYER DEPALLETIZING
The problem of potentially damaging a pallet layer that is gripped by clamps of a depalletizing tool is solved i) by detecting the real position of the layer using a pad on the tool that is movable with the clamps towards the pallet layer and whose detected stopping position determines the real position of the layer, and ii) while the layer is gripped by the clamp, by inserting under the layer curtains; the pressure on the layer by the clamps being adapted to the ease to go underneath the layer.
HAND, HOLDING DEVICE, AND CARGO-HANDLING SYSTEM
According to one embodiment, a hand includes a first holding unit, and a second holding unit. The first holding unit includes a plurality of first holding portions capable of holding an article. A plurality of the first holding units is provided in a second direction and is movable independently of each other in a first direction crossing the second direction. The second holding unit is movable in a third direction crossing a plane parallel to the first direction and the second direction. The second holding unit includes a plurality of second holding portions capable of holding the article.
MERGING PROCESSING SYSTEM, METHOD AND DEVICE
A merging processing system, method and device. Said method comprises: determining turnover boxes to establish a correlation between the turnover boxes and the collection; box supply lines conveying the turnover boxes from sorting positions to a pickup position; the handling device moving the turnover boxes to a temporary storage region, and uploading to a control center; the control center determining a correlation between the turnover boxes and the temporary storage positions, when it is determined that all the turnover boxes of the collection to be merged are moved to the temporary storage region, controlling the handling device to move the turnover boxes of the collection to be merged to a merging processing station; and the handling device successively moving the turnover boxes corresponding to the same collection to be merged to the merging processing station, and performing merging on the collection to be merged.
AUTOMATED PROCESSING OF CONTAINER ASSEMBLY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A container assembly processing system is disclosed that includes a container lifting assembly for lifting a container vertically from a carrier on a conveyor system.
Item singulation systems using vision systems to transfer columns of items to downstream conveyors
Item singulation systems and methods may include an input conveyor, a vision system, and an output conveyor that receives items from the input conveyor. The vision system may determine individual columns of items from among a plurality of items on the input conveyor. Operations of the input conveyor and output conveyor may be controlled substantially as a pull system to transfer individual columns of items to the output conveyor, such that singulated items can be transferred by the output conveyor to downstream processes.
Perception-based robotic manipulation system and method for automated truck unloader that unloads/unpacks product from trailers and containers
An automated truck unloader for unloading/unpacking product, such as boxes or cases, from trailers and containers is disclosed. In one embodiment, a mobile base structure provides a support framework for a drive subassembly, conveyance subassembly, an industrial robot, a distance measurement subassembly, and a control subassembly. Under the operation of the control subassembly, an industrial robot having a suction cup-based gripper arm selectively removes boxes from the trailer and places the boxes on a powered transportation path. The control subassembly coordinates the selective articulated movement of the industrial robot and the activation of the drive subassembly based upon a perception-based robotic manipulation system.
SYSTEM FOR INVERTING PACKAGING BOX
A reversing system for reversing a packing box, an upper surface of which is opened, and from which products are withdrawn, such that a lower surface of the reversed empty packing box is disposed above. A first conveyor transfers an empty packing box, an upper surface of which is opened, from a position at which products are withdrawn from the packing box to a position at which the packing box is reversed. A turning device holds the packing box to be turned about a horizontal rotation axis, and reverses the packing box. A second conveyor carries the reversed packing box to a position at which the bottom surface is opened. The turning device holds two sides, facing each other, among sides of the packing box, and turns and reverses the packing pox using a portion between the holding locations of the two held sides as a rotation axis.
DYNAMIC CONVEYOR SYSTEM FOR CUSTOM SIZED PACKAGING
A conveyor system includes a rail having one or more channels therein and one or more sleds operatively associated with the rail. A sled can include a body and one or more wheels mounted on the body and configured to move through the one or more channels in the rail. A sled can also include a holding device connected to the body. The holding device can be configured to engage a packaging container to move the packaging container along the rail. Multiple sleds can be used to secure a packaging container therebetween and move the packaging container along the rail. The conveyor system may also include a queue system that dynamically moves packaging containers to packaging stations.
CONVEYOR DISCHARGE CHUTE WITH DIVERTING PADDLES
Diverting paddles (72) on discharge chutes guide packages into multiple destination receptacles (22, R1) assigned to the package. The paddles (38, 72) can present static or driven flat outer surfaces or static or driven roller surfaces to the packages. The paddles (38, 72) block packages from entering non-assigned receptacles (22, 24, R1). The chutes may be made tillable to feed packages into receptacles (22, 24, R1) at different elevations.
