A folding roller for folding signatures in a folding apparatus comprises a cylindrical folding roller element comprising a jacket surface at least partially having an elastic coating that is compressible. As such, different folded products and/or folded products of different thicknesses can be produced without a change of the nip between the folding roller pair with consistent folding quality, and an adjustment of the nip is also not required during a production run printing or an ongoing production.

A sheet conveying apparatus includes a conveyance unit to convey a sheet, a support frame supporting the he conveyance unit and having a mounting member, and an exterior cover made of metal and fixed to the mounting member by a screw. The exterior cover covers the support frame on a back side of the sheet conveying apparatus and includes a hook portion provided above a position corresponding to the mounting member in a vertical direction, and a positioning pin provided below the position corresponding to the mounting member in the vertical direction. The support frame includes an engagement portion, engaged with the hook portion and provided at a position above the mounting member in the vertical direction, and a through-hole, formed at a position below the mounting member in the vertical direction, into which the positioning pin is inserted to position the exterior cover with respect to the support frame.

A liftable transport pinch is provided with a simplified construction to enhance lifetime and productivity. This transport device includes at least one roller mounted on an arm, and an actuator connected to a frame for moving the roller between a first and second position. The arm is mounted onto the frame by means of an elastic hinge element. The elastic hinge element provides a simple, cheap, wear-resistant, and easy-to-assembly alternative to prior art solutions.

A liftable transport pinch is provided with a simplified construction to enhance lifetime and productivity. This transport device includes at least one roller mounted on an arm, and an actuator connected to a frame for moving the roller between a first and second position. The arm is mounted onto the frame by means of an elastic hinge element. The elastic hinge element provides a simple, cheap, wear-resistant, and easy-to-assembly alternative to prior art solutions.

A sheet storage apparatus attached to an apparatus body in an attaching direction includes a sheet storage portion configured to store a sheet, a moving unit movably supported by the sheet storage portion in a moving direction parallel to the attaching direction, wherein the moving unit includes a regulation member and an extending member extending in the moving direction, the regulation member including a regulation surface regulating a position, in the moving direction, of the sheet stored in the sheet storage portion, and a first bonding surface extending along the moving direction, the extending member including a second bonding surface extending parallel to the first bonding surface, and wherein the first bonding surface and the second bonding surface are configured to be bonded to each other by adhesive.

A label box includes a dispensing region and a storage region for holding a stack of labels, all of which have the same two-dimensional contour. The dispensing region includes a guiding-and-holding body that has been manufactured by an additive-manufacturing process based on a three-dimensional computer model thereof. The guiding-and-holding body forms a guide space for receiving and guiding of the stack and for dispensing the labels. The guide space includes a guide section that is adjustable to conform to the contour. The guiding-and-holding body also includes a securing region for at least partially securing the label box to a holding device.

A medium transport device includes a first roller that applies a transporting force to a medium, a second roller that applies a transporting force to the medium transported from the first roller, a third roller that applies a transporting force to the medium transported from the second roller, a first rotor that transmits rotational torque to the third roller, a first shaft that is provided away from the first rotor at a first interval, and a second shaft that is provided away from the first rotor at the first interval and at a position different from a position of the first shaft.
