Device for roller assembly, and related systems and methods
A roller assembly for a taping device includes a roller body defining a central bore, a bushing configured to be received within the central bore and rotationally fixed to the roller body, and a shaft configured to be disposed within the central bore. The shaft defines an outer surface that extends through the bushing. The shaft has a boss that extends radially outward from the outer surface. A resistance element is disposable within the central bore is configured to contact the bushing and the boss in a manner providing an amount of rotational resistance between the roller body and the shaft when the roller assembly is in an assembled configuration.
Registration system with independent laterally adjustable nips
A registration system for a printing device and a method for controlling the same are disclosed. For example, the registration system includes at least one sensor to detect a position of a print media, at least one laterally adjustable nip, wherein the laterally adjustable nip moves along an inboard direction and an outboard direction, a motor coupled to the at least one laterally adjustable nip to move the at least one laterally adjustable nip a desired amount of movement based on the position of the print media and a width of the print media, and a processor communicatively coupled to the at least one sensor and the motor to calculate a desired amount of movement based on the position of the print media and control the motor to move the at least one laterally adjustable nip by the desired amount of movement.
DANCER SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY FOR A ROLL-TO-ROLL PRINTER
A dancer suspension assembly for use in a roll-to-roll printing system, which assembly comprises a wire element connectable to a dancer of the printing system, which wire element is connected to actuator via a spring element, which actuator is configured to control a spring force exerted by the spring element on the wire element, and a pulley assembly around which the wire element runs. The spring element allows the operator to adjust the spring force and to apply said spring force to the dancer at any position of the dancer. Both the web tension and the dancer position can be controlled in a simple manner.
MEDIUM TRANSPORT APPARATUS AND PRINTING APPARATUS
A medium transport apparatus includes a transport roller configured to transport a medium and a roller support portion configured to support the transport roller. The roller support portion includes a support member contacting an outer circumferential surface of the transport roller at two positions thereof in a circumferential direction to support the transport roller, a base member defining a position of the support member, and an intermediary member mediating the support member and the base member. The intermediary member is configured to cause separation between the support member and the base member without moving the support member and the base member.
Single card separation apparatus and card distribution device
A device for separating cards in single sheet includes: a support frame, and a driving shaft movably mounted on the support frame, a separating wheel being provided on the driving shaft. The driving shaft is movable freely up and down on the support frame, and an elastic component is provided between the driving shaft and the support frame. The elastic component has one end fixed to the support frame, and another end mounted on the driving shaft, which allows the separating wheel to always keep a downward pressure to cards under the action of an elastic force. The elastic component in contact with the driving shaft provides downward pressure to the driving shaft, thus the separating wheel always keeps downward pressure to the cards under the action of the elastic force.
ROTATABLE-MEMBER-SUPPORTING STRUCTURE, TRANSPORT DEVICE, CHARGING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A rotatable-member-supporting structure includes a first rotatable member having a shaft portion, a bearing member by which the shaft portion of the first rotatable member is rotatably supported, a pressing member that presses the bearing member in one direction, and a supporting member by which the bearing member is supported in such a manner as to be retractably movable in the direction in which the pressing member presses the bearing member. A pressing force generated by the pressing member is greatest in a portion of the bearing member that is on a downstream side in a direction of rotation of the first rotatable member with respect to an intersection between the bearing member and a first virtual line extending from a center of rotation of the first rotatable member toward the pressing member in the direction in which the supporting member is retractably movable.
IMAGE READING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image reading device includes: a conveyer, and an imaging device that reads optical information on a surface of a sheet-like member being conveyed by the conveyer, in an imaging area of a predetermined range in a conveyance direction. The conveyer includes a conveyance path moving mechanism that moves a conveyance path in the imaging area so that a distance from the imaging device changes and adjusts a position of the surface of the sheet-like member to a position at a predetermined distance from the imaging device. An image forming apparatus includes: the image reading device; and an image forming section that uses the sheet-like member being conveyed by the conveyer as a recording medium and forms an image on a surface of the recording medium.
Device for feeding papers
A paper feeding device comprises a storage surface for a stack of papers and being adapted to be move vertically between a first, lower end position and a second, upper end position, and a feeding roll for feeding papers from their position on the storage surface and imparting an uppermost sheet of paper a horizontal displacement. A first mounting device comprises a first vertically movable, preferably pivotable housing adapted to mount or suspend a first end of the feeding roll, and a second mounting device comprises a second vertically movable, preferably pivotable housing adapted to mount or suspend a second end of the feeding roll opposite to the first end of the feeding roll. By providing the first and second housings pivotable independently of each other and an intermediate axle, the feeding roll adapts to a non-uniform stack of papers, improving the reliability of the feeding.
