Image reading apparatus and image forming apparatus
An image reading apparatus includes a first stacking unit having a stacking surface, and an abutment portion that abuts a document stacked on the stacking surface, a feeding unit, a reading unit, a second stacking unit, a detection unit, a rotating shaft, a drive unit, and a control unit. The second stacking unit receives the document fed by the feeding unit and read by the reading unit. The detection unit detects presence or absence of the document stacked on the second stacking unit. The drive unit rotates the first stacking unit around the rotating shaft rotatably supporting the first stacking unit. Based on the detection of the absence of the document on the second stacking unit by the detection unit, the control unit controls the drive unit to rotate the first stacking unit in a direction with which the abutment portion is lowered.
Sheet feeding device and image forming apparatus incorporating same
A sheet feeding device includes a sheet loading table on which a bundle of sheets is stacked, an identification mark on an end face of the sheet loading table, and an imaging unit to identify the identification mark.

The drive unit rotates the first stacking unit around the rotating shaft rotatably supporting the first stacking unit. At a predetermined timing after the first detection unit detects the absence of the document on the first stacking unit, the control unit controls the drive unit to rotate the first stacking unit in a direction with which the abutment portion is lowered.

SHEET STACKING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCORPORATING THE SHEET STACKING DEVICE
A sheet stacking device includes a sheet stacker, an image capturing device, and circuitry. The sheet stacker stacks a sheet. The image capturing device captures an image of a whole face of the sheet stacked in the sheet stacker. The circuitry detects a size of the sheet stacked in the sheet stacker, whether the sheet stacked in the sheet stacker is a last sheet, or whether an image is formed on an image forming face of the sheet, based on image data of the image captured by the image capturing device.
Sheet feeding device, image reading device, and image forming apparatus
A sheet feeding device includes a roller pair being mutually non-separable; and a roller pair being mutually separable. The sheet feeding device temporarily stops a sheet in a registration position of the non-separable roller pair and then resumes feeding the sheet. The sheet feeding device feeds sheets such that a following sheet reaches the registration position from the separable roller pair after completion of ejection of a preceding sheet.
MEDIUM TRANSPORT DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD, AND CONTROL PROGRAM
Provided are a medium conveying apparatus, a control method, and a control program is to enable further reduction in the time required for conveying the medium while suppressing the occurrence of the conveyance abnormality of the medium. A medium conveying apparatus includes a conveying mechanism to convey a medium, a determination module to determine whether a conveyance abnormality of the medium has occurred, and a control module to control the conveying mechanism so as to increase a conveyance speed of the medium to be conveyed thereafter, or reduce a conveyance interval of the medium to be conveyed thereafter if the conveyance abnormality of the medium has not occurred when a predetermined number of medium is conveyed.

Document feeder
According to aspects of the present disclosures, when a cancel command is input during a document conveying process, drive of a conveying motor is stopped. Then, a movable plate of a feed tray is moved down from a supplying position to a lowermost position being a non-supplying position, and the drive of the conveying motor is restarted. The conveying motor is driven at least until a document sheet is discharged from a conveying path.
Sheet feeder, control method of sheet feeder, and storage medium
In a case where feeding of a subsequent sheet by a feed roller is started after the trailing edge of a preceding sheet is detected by a post-registration sensor, a control unit of a sheet feeder controls the feed roller to rotate at a first feeding speed, and in a case where the leading edge of the subsequent sheet has passed through a nip position between the feed roller and a separation roller, the control unit controls the feed roller to rotate at a second feeding speed.
