IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD
An image forming system includes an image forming unit, an inspection unit, a conveyance unit configured to convey a sheet to the inspection unit, a controller configured to execute a first inspection mode in which a sheet having an image formed thereon is conveyed by the conveyance unit to the inspection unit and is inspected, and a second inspection mode in which, without executing image forming by the image forming unit, a sheet is conveyed by the conveyance unit to the inspection unit and is inspected, and a setting unit configured to set a recovery process. The setting unit permits the setting of the recovery process in the first inspection mode and prohibits the setting of the recovery process in the second inspection mode.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS THAT SORTS SHEETS TO ONE OF TWO TRANSPORT ROUTES
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device, a transport route, a purge transport route, an image forming transport route, a transport roller, and a blowing machine. The image forming device forms an image on a sheet. The transport route extends to a predetermined position. The purge transport route extends to a downstream side in a sheet transport direction, from the predetermined position. The image forming transport route is branched from the purge transport route at the predetermined position, and extends toward the image forming device. The transport roller transports the sheet along the transport route, and along one of the purge transport route and the image forming transport route. The blowing machine delivers the sheet to one of the purge transport route and the image forming transport route, by blowing air to the sheet being transported along the transport route.
CONVEYANCE APPARATUS AND PRINTING APPARATUS
A conveyance apparatus includes a conveyor and processing circuitry. The conveyor conveys a sheet. The processing circuitry controls conveyance of the sheet by the conveyor and switching a direction in which the conveyor conveys the sheet to a direction opposite to a direction in which the sheet is ejected, after the conveyance of the sheet is stopped under a predetermined condition.
Printing system having conveyance paths to discharge destinations
A printing system includes a printing unit, a determination unit, and a switching unit. The printing unit prints an image on a recording medium. The determination unit compares a prestored reference image and a read image corresponding to a reading result of a printed document in which the image is printed on the recording medium and determines whether a result of the comparison satisfies a predetermined condition. The switching unit switches a discharge destination of the recording medium based on a result of the determination. The switching unit switches a conveyance path of the recording medium based on whether the determination is performed.
CARD PROCESSING AND ATTACHING SYSTEM
The invention is a modular card processing and attaching system configured to provide uninterrupted workflow in the feeding and subsequent attaching of cards to carriers for the formation of a mailpiece. The modular card processing and attaching system is further configured to be incorporated into a production mail inserter system, such that attached card and carrier mailpieces may be subsequently sorted and/or inserted into a mailable envelope or packages to be mailed.
FORMING AND FOLDING SHEET PORTIONS
An example device is provided in accordance with the present disclosure, which may be used for example for producing printed articles from printed sheets on which are imposed multiple pages of a printed article to be produced. The example device comprises a sheet feeder, a sheet path for the advance of a plurality of printed sheets fed by the sheet feeder, a cutter on the sheet path to cut the printed sheets in a direction perpendicular to the sheet advance direction, to form at least two sheet portions, and a folder on the sheet path downstream of the cutter, to fold the sheet portions.
Paper sheet processing device
This paper sheet processing device is provided with a casing (10), an intake unit (20), an identification unit (60), a second transportation unit (50) for transporting sheets of paper substantially horizontally, a plurality of collection units (80, 90) for collecting the sheets of paper transported by the second transportation unit (50), and vaned rollers (81, 91) provided correspondingly with respect to the collection units (80, 90). With regards to any two of the collection units (80, 90) that are adjacent to one another, the direction of rotation of the vaned roller (81) corresponding to one of the collection units (80, 90) and the direction of rotation of the vaned roller (91) corresponding to the other collection unit (80, 90) are opposite each other.

PAPER DISCHARGE APPARATUS, PAPER DISCHARGE METHOD AND PRINTING APPARATUS
A paper discharge apparatus includes a discharge port through which paper is discharged, a transport unit that transports the paper to the discharge port, a sensor disposed adjacent to the discharge port, and a controller. The controller is configured to control the transport unit such that a downstream side end of the paper is exposed through the discharge port, determine based on an output from the sensor whether or not the downstream side end of the paper is being pulled, and control the transport unit so as to change a transport mode of the paper according to a determination of whether or not the downstream end of the paper is being pulled.
