Escalator
An escalator includes movable step segments. Each step segment includes a rectangular step plate with a constant height, a tread, and four corners. The tread of each step segment is in a horizontal position during a front transport movement and in an oblique position during a rear return movement. Four wheels which include two front wheels and two rear wheels are assigned to each step segment, with one wheel being mounted at each of the four corners. Two endless transport chains transport the two front wheels at a front transport section. Two first tracks have the two rear wheels run thereon without being attached to any of the two endless transport chains. Two rear second transport tracks are arranged in a rear return transport section. The two rear second transport tracks transport each step segment back with the tread in an oblique position via the two endless transport chains.
Guide rail cleaning device
Provided is a guide rail cleaning device, including: a first cleaning portion including a first cleaning member configured to clean a driving-roller guide rail for a step; a second cleaning portion including a second cleaning member configured to clean a trailing-roller guide rail; and a mounting plate. The mounting plate is removably mounted to a step shaft having a driving roller fixed thereto. The first cleaning portion and the second cleaning portion are mounted to the mounting plate. The first cleaning member is brought into abutment against the driving-roller guide rail. The second cleaning member is brought into abutment against the trailing-roller guide rail. With this, the driving-roller guide rail and the trailing-roller guide rail are simultaneously cleaned through use of the first cleaning member and the second cleaning member.
Rail cleaning device for passenger conveyor
A rail cleaning device for a passenger conveyor includes: a main body; a cleaning body; and a fastening band. The main body has a through hole. The through hole is arranged so that lower ends of link plates are located at an intermediate position of the through hole in a height direction of the main body when the cleaning body is held in abutment against an upper surface of a drive rail. The fastening band has a ring shape passing through an inside of the through hole and over outer sides of the link plates and extending to an upper side of the main body. The fastening band is tightened so as to press the cleaning body onto the drive rail by bringing an upper end of the main body close to the lower ends of the link plates, thereby fastening the main body to the link plates.
Passenger conveyor
The invention relates to a passenger conveyor, such as an escalator or autowalk, comprising a band of conveying elements; a diverting wheel for diverting the passage of the band of conveying elements and/or a traction member thereof and a brake for braking rotation of the diverting wheel. The brake comprises a screw member having a conical threaded external rim; a nut member having a conical threaded internal rim, the screw member and nut member being screwed together, one of said screw member and nut member being connected with the diverting wheel for being driven by the diverting wheel. The brake further comprises a stopping device for stopping rotation of the other of said screw member and nut member.
ESCALATOR

Drive belt for people conveyors
A drive belt (10; 20; 60) for a people conveyor comprises: a load bearing portion (12; 22; 62) extending in a longitudinal direction and having a length extending in the longitudinal direction and a width extending in a width direction; and a plurality of rollers (17; 27; 67) accommodated within the width of the load bearing portion (12; 22; 62). At least a part of the load bearing portion (12; 22; 62) is provided with a drive belt engagement structure (13; 23; 63). The drive belt engagement structure (13; 23; 63) in particular includes teeth (14, 25; 24), grooves (16; 26), and/or openings.
Run-in guide rail for escalators or moving walkways and passenger conveyance device having a run-in guide rail of this kind
A run-in guide rail for escalators or moving walkways. The run-in guide rail is configured to support a step chain with buffer rollers arranged internally and track rollers arranged externally during the run-in into a sprocket. The run-in guide rail has a first support surface for supporting the buffer rollers and a second support surface, arranged alongside the first support surface, for supporting the buffer rollers. In addition, a passenger conveyance device comprising step chains, sprockets and at least one aforementioned run-in guide rail is disclosed.
Chain defect monitoring in a people conveyor
A people conveyor (1) comprises a band (12) of conveyance elements (13) connected to and driven by at least one drive chain (15, 27) comprising a plurality of chain links (34, 36). The people conveyor (1) further comprises at least one inductive sensor (40, 41) arranged laterally next to the at least one drive chain (15, 27) and configured for monitoring the chain links (34, 36) passing by the at least one inductive sensor (40, 41).
Handrail-drive system with drive elements integrated in the handrail
The application relates to a handrail-drive system of an escalator. The handrail-drive system includes a handrail drive with drive elements and a belt-form handrail which can be moved in a circulatory manner. The handrail is delimited by an outer contour configured as a gripping surface and by an inner contour which leaves a cavity free in the handrail. The driving force is transmitted from the drive elements to the handrail on two mutually opposite side surfaces of the inner contour, wherein a complementary configuration of the side surfaces makes it possible for all the other forces which are caused by the transmission of the driving force and act between the side surfaces to compensate for one another.
