In a clamping device, the number of components for an article detection means is reduced. In a stacker, a tire is placed on the carry surface. The first gripping member and the second gripping member grip a side of tire placed on the carry surface and include an abutment surface having a bent portion and are capable of abutting with the side of tire. The first sensor and the second sensor include a light axis in a direction along the article. The controller moves the first gripping member and the second gripping member close to each other to the first position where the tire is not gripped. When the tire is detected with the first sensor and second sensor, the controller moves the first gripping member and the second gripping member close to each other to the second position where the tire is gripped.

LOAD MANIPULATOR

A manipulator for transporting a load laterally with respect to a vehicle includes a support frame adapted for mounting on a vehicle. A movable guide is supported by the support frame for lateral translation with respect to the support frame. A carriage which is capable of supporting a load engaging attachment for supporting a load is supported by the guide for translation with respect to the guide in the lengthwise direction of the guide. The carriage can translate with respect to the guide in the lengthwise direction of the guide at the same time that the guide is translating laterally with respect to the support frame.

DEVICE FOR ROTATING UTILITY POLE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING POSITION

An object of the present disclosure is to provide a utility pole rotation apparatus and a position control method that can reduce not only the number of workers for adjusting an orientation of a scaffold bolt (an orientation of a side surface of the utility pole) but also the number of workers for stopping swinging of the utility pole, which cannot be simultaneously reduced in the related art.

The utility pole rotation apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a gripping portion that grips a utility pole, and a roller having a cylindrical shape that contacts the utility pole at an inner side of the gripping portion and rotates the utility pole with a longitudinal direction serving as an axis due to rotation of the roller.

The present invention relates to an apparatus for engaging a first body with a second body, for example, for locking an oil rig platform to a rig leg. The apparatus comprises a driving portion, for example in the form of a driving wedge, which is moveably attachable to the first body, and an engaging portion, for example in the form of an engaging wedge, which is moveably attached to the driving portion. The driving portion is adapted to move in a first direction with respect to the second body and the engaging portion defines an engaging profile adapted to engage a complementary profile on the second body. Movement of the driving portion results in movement of the engaging portion. The apparatus also comprises an adjustment device connecting the driving portion to the engaging portion and adapted to move the engaging portion independently of the driving portion.

APPARATUS FOR HANDLING A BLOWOUT PREVENTER STACK
