A pod processing device includes a top plate having a first aperture, and a cutting plate having a top surface and a bottom surface. The cutting plate can be attached to the top plate such that the cutting plate is spaced a distance from the top plate. The cutting plate can include at least one cutting blade extending at an angle from the top surface of the cutting plate along a portion of the distance towards the top plate. The pod processing device can be used to remove the lid from a pod to facilitate composting of the contents of the pod.

The handle includes two arms having proximal and distal ends, and a connecting portion extending from the proximal ends of the arms. The connecting portion maintains spatial separation between the proximal ends of the arms. The anvil and blade extend from respective distal ends of the arms. The blade includes a cutting edge facing the anvil. The arms are configured to move between an open state and a closed state. When the arms are moved from the open state with the blister positioned between the anvil and the cutting edge to the closed state, the cutting edge is configured to puncture and cut the blister open to enable user access to pills inside the blister.

A foil cutter has a unitary container engaging sleeve, a unitary foil cutter assembly, and a cutting blade retained therebetween. The container engaging sleeve has a cylindrical outer shell, a container opening receiving cavity, a lip configured to contact with a container affixed foil seal, and a blade retainer. The foil cutter assembly has a body that is inserted within the outer shell, and a cutting blade retainer. The cutting blade is extends from the foil cutter assembly, but is recessed within the container engaging sleeve to prevent accidental contact. The foil cutter is operably pressed onto a receptacle opening sealed by an affixed foil seal, and then rotated to pierce, remove, and retain the foil seal. A seal pusher has geometry complementary to the foil cutter assembly, and inserts longitudinally through to discharge foil seals that have been separated from containers, preferably into an empty container.

The invention provides an automatic stop method and device for a can opener. When a first rotation frequency of a bearing in a first preset time is smaller than a second rotation frequency of the bearing in a subsequent second preset time in the process of opening a can by a can opener blade and a difference between the second and first frequency reaches a preset value, it is determined that repeated cutting occurs, and the blade will be stopped in time to avoid problems caused by repeated cutting. Meanwhile, mean values of multiple data acquired within the first and second preset time are calculated, avoiding the problems of an excessively high and long instant processing burden of one time of data acquisition and errors caused by data acquired once, improving the timeliness and accuracy of the first and second frequency, and can opening can be controlled more accurately.

A small clip is included opposite the double clip to attach to a pocket.
