Beverage apparatus and method

A beverage apparatus and system is disclosed. The beverage apparatus is configurable to add flavors, minerals, vitamins, or other such additives to a source fluid, such as purified water, in response to a user's selection of settings, to provide a customized beverage. Advantageously, the beverage apparatus uses the purified water to cleanse the components that come into contact with the additive as part of the preparation of each beverage and includes this cleansing wash as part of the beverage itself, thus providing a self-cleaning apparatus that does not require a separate drain.

AUTOMATED FLUSHING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR BEVERAGE DISPENSING

Kegs of beer may be connected in parallel alongside one or more valves that connect to a flushing fluid supply. When a beer is selected, the associated beer valve opens so that beer can be dispensed. After a pour is completed, the system automatically flushes the beverage tubing line clean by opening a flushing fluid valve, allowing flushing fluid to cleanse the line. This flushing of the line enables the system to dispense a beer from a recently flushed line for each pour, and/or dispense many different beers because leftovers of a beer from an earlier pour do not contaminate the line for later pours. The system is also configured to measure the time poured based on information from a sensor in a dispenser (e.g., a tap handle). The time poured and a measured flow rate are used to calculate the total price to charge a customer for the beer.

A water dispensing apparatus includes a hot water module configured to heat supplied water using an induction heating method, a water supply pipe configured to supply water to the hot water module, a flow rate control valve provided on the water supply pipe to control a flow rate of water supplied to the hot water module, a flow rate sensing device provided on the water supply pipe to sense the flow rate of water supplied to the hot water module, and a controller configured to increase an opening speed of the flow rate control valve when the flow rate of supplied water sensed through the flow rate sensing device is equal to or less than a set flow rate.

WATER PURIFIER

The present disclosure relates to a water purifier. The water purifier according to the present disclosure includes: a tank providing an accommodation space, which extends in an up-down direction to accommodate purified water generated by filtering raw water and of which the maximum length in a height direction is at least three times the maximum length in a width direction or more, and provided so that the purified water is introduced through an upper side of the accommodation space; a cold water generator configured to cool the purified water accommodated in the accommodation space and generate cold water; a cold water dispensing flow path provided to dispense the cold water generated in the accommodation space to the outside; and an upper clamp assembly, an intermediate clamp assembly, and a lower clamp assembly provided to effectively respond to pressure that acts on the tank in the up-down direction.

DRINKING APPARATUS

Provided are a drinking apparatus including a water treatment device, a water inlet device, and a water outlet device. The water inlet device has a water source port, a water treatment port, a water outlet port, and a first flow passageway assembly. The first flow passageway assembly is configured to guide water from the water source to flow to the water treatment device and water outlet device. The water outlet device has a second flow passageway assembly, a first port, and a second port. One of the first port and the second port is configured to be connected to the water inlet device, and another one of the first port and the second port is configured to be connected to a water outlet component. The first port and the second port are in communication with each other via the second flow passageway assembly.
