A directional lock or a headgear or interface assembly comprising one or more directional locks that include a catch arrangement for initiating or assisting in movement of a lock member of the direction lock. In some configurations, the catch arrangement assists movement of the lock member in only a portion of a range of travel of the lock member. In some configurations, the directional lock comprises a housing and a sleeve and the catch arrangement comprises a catch arm carried by the sleeve. The catch arm includes a catch end that contacts the lock member, which can be a lock washer in some configurations.

A sensor assembly for horse monitoring is disclosed. The sensor assembly comprises a sensor housing. The sensor housing comprises a plurality of surfaces including a first surface, a second surface, a third surface, and a fourth surface, and one or more protrusions including a first primary protrusion extending from a surface of the plurality of surfaces. The sensor assembly comprises a first optical sensor positioned at a first window of the first surface and configured to be positioned below an ear of a horse. The sensor assembly comprises an attachment element comprising a sensor opening configured for alignment with the first window. The attachment element comprises one or more openings including a first primary opening configured to receive the first primary protrusion. The attachment element is configured to removably attach the sensor assembly to a horse head equipment.

The SmarTack design with interchangeable inlays, or “faces,” was born out of the need to conserve money coupled with the desire of staying up to date with style. No other product has been found up to this point. The SmarTack product line allows the user to quickly, easily and inexpensively change the look of their tack, as frequently as they desire. I developed SmarTack with the goal of providing something that can be purchased “on a teacher's budget” as I am a teacher and have had to say “no” on several occasions that my daughter wanted new horse tack just because she wanted to change the style. I could not justify spending hundreds of dollars on a whim. However, if something like SmarTack had existed, it would certainly have been something I could have done financially.

The elongate segments have a plurality of openings defined therein. The elongate segments are configured and arranged to be folded upward relative to the body portion to form the shape of a muzzle. The grazing restrictor is formed from an elastic material capable of laying flat in a first configuration and being folded into the shape of a muzzle in a second configuration.

A bridle headband (20), especially a horse bridle headband, or a decorative band (40) for base bodies (50), especially belts, bracelets or collars, comprises such band-like element (10), as well as two counterparts (22, 122, 222, 322), each having a second magnetic element (32), wherein one end (12, 112) of the respective band-like element (10) is releasably attachable or is attached to or in a counterpart (22, 122, 222, 322).
