DEVICE FOR GENERATING A GAS
20220363536 · 2022-11-17 ·

A device for generating a gas by putting a liquid into contact with a catalyst includes an enclosure defining a first chamber for containing the liquid and a second chamber for containing the catalyst. A valve member is mounted to move inside the enclosure between a closed position in which the first chamber and the second chamber are isolated from each other and an open position in which the first chamber and the second chamber are in fluid-flow communication. Accordingly, the valve member is connected to an elastically-deformable diaphragm forming a wall of the enclosure. The diaphragm is coupled to an actuator arranged outside the enclosure to deform said diaphragm in such a manner as to move the valve member between the closed position and the open position.

Compositions, methods of making compositions, and hydrogen production via thermo-chemical splitting

The present disclosure provides for compositions, methods of making compositions, and methods of using the composition. In an aspect, the composition can be a reactive material that can be used to split a gas such as water or carbon dioxide.

Device for generation of a gas

A device includes a catalytic system and an electromagnetic system. The catalytic system defines a catalysis chamber and includes a catalyst of a reaction to generate a gas from a liquid. The catalyst is housed in the catalysis chamber. The electromagnetic system includes a coil and a rod mobile relative to the coil, the rod being fixed to the catalytic system and including a magnet and a core. The electromagnetic system is configured to move the rod relative to the coil when an electrical current is passed through the coil, so as to dispose the catalytic system in an open position in which the catalysis chamber is in fluidic communication with the outside. The catalytic system is disposed in a closed position in which the catalysis chamber is hermetically closed in the absence of an electrical current through the coil.

Hydrogen storage and delivery system using a synergistic hydrolysis technology

A method for storing and delivering hydrogen gas is described. The method includes reacting a chemical hydride with water in the presence of a synergist. The synergist advances the extent of reaction of the chemical hydride with water to increase the yield of hydrogen production. The synergist reacts with byproducts formed in the reaction of the chemical hydride with water that would otherwise inhibit progress of the reaction. As a result, a greater fraction of hydrogen available from a chemical hydride is released as hydrogen gas.
