Laminate pigment with spacing properties and high UV-greying stability
The invention relates to a titanium dioxide particle with high opacity and UV-greying resistance comprising two silica coats and at least one alumina coat, to a method for the obtaining the same, and to the use of said particle in a method for obtaining a decorative paper laminate or a décor foil. The present invention further pertains a decorative paper laminate or a décor foil containing said coated titanium dioxide particle.
Flaky titanate and method for production thereof, and use thereof
Provided is a flaky titanate that exhibits a high weathering resistance while at the same time having the ability to endow a coating film with a silky feeling having a shading feeling and a strong luster feeling, and a method for the production thereof suitable at least for inexpensive industrial production. The flaky titanate contains a basic organic compound wherein the content of basic functional groups thereof is not more than 2.4%, and provides a coating film having a goniospectrophotometric color measured value ΔL* of at least 150. The method for producing a flaky titanate contains a step of classifying a flaking titanate having a basic organic compound at the surface and/or in interlayer position, to bring (D90−D10)/D50 in the volume particle size distribution to 1.5 or less.
ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE ABSORBING PARTICLE DISPERSION, ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE ABSORBING LAMINATE, AND ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE ABSORBING TRANSPARENT BASE MATERIAL
An electromagnetic wave absorbing particle dispersion includes electromagnetic wave absorbing particles containing cesium tungsten oxide represented by a general formula Cs.sub.xW.sub.1-yO.sub.3-z and having a crystal structure of an orthorhombic crystal structure or a hexagonal crystal structure, x, y, and z being 0.2≤x≤0.4, 0<y≤0.4, and 0<z≤0.46; and a solid medium. The electromagnetic wave absorbing particles are dispersed in the solid medium.
ULTRA-WHITE SILICA-BASED FILLER
An ultra-white granular silica-based filler comprises at least 99.5 wt. % silica, wherein the crystal structure of the silica is such that the silica-based filler comprises 40 to 80 wt. % cristobalite, 1 to 25 wt. % tridymite, 2-60 wt. % quartz and <5 wt. % amorphous silica, wherein the temperature of the ultra-white granular silica-based filler is no higher than 50° C. and further wherein the ultra-white granular silica-based filler exhibits an L* value in the CIELAB color space of 95-98. In addition, an ultra-white powder filler is obtained by milling, grinding or comminuting the ultra-white granular silica-based filler. The ultra-white powder filler exhibits an L* value in the CIELAB color space of 95-98.5.

Product comprising ultrafine natural glass
A product including ultrafine natural glass, methods of producing the ultrafine natural glass, and methods of use thereof are provided. The product may have, for example, a small top cut (d.sub.99) particle size of, for example, less than 12 microns. The product may also have high blue light brightness higher than, for example, 69, and/or low oil absorption, for example, less than 100 percent in volume. The product may be used in a variety of applications, such as, for example, anti-block filler in plastic films and/or reinforcement filler in polymers.
