Body obtained by processing solid carbon-containing material, producing method thereof, and producing apparatus thereof
A method for producing a body obtained by processing a solid carbon-containing material, the method includes: preparing the solid carbon-containing material composed of a material having at least a surface containing solid carbon; forming a gas phase fluid containing at least one of an active gas or an active plasma which are active against the solid carbon; and processing the solid carbon-containing material by injecting the gas phase fluid onto at least a part of the surface of the solid carbon-containing material.
Cooling infill for synthetic turf applications
Disclosed is an infill for an artificial turf field, the infill comprising: from about 40 wt. % to about 60 wt. % of a polyvinyl chloride resin; from about 5 wt. % to about 30 wt. % of a plasticizer derived from a naturally occurring source; from about 2 wt. % to about 10 wt. % of a reflective pigment; from about 0.01 wt. % to about 0.1 wt. % of a blowing agent; and from about 5 wt. % to about 30 wt. % of a filler. The infill is pelletized and maintains the temperature of an artificial turf field, when disposed throughout the artificial turf field, at a temperature about 15° F. to about 25° F. less than a temperature of a comparative artificial turf under substantially similar ambient and environmental conditions, wherein a comparative infill of the comparative artificial turf consists essentially of crumbed rubber infill.
POLYCRYSTALLINE CUBIC CRYSTAL BORON NITRIDE AND TOOL
A polycrystalline cubic boron nitride includes a cubic boron nitride particle group. The ratio of a second length to a first length is 0.99 or less. Here, each of the first length and the second length is a value measured on a surface of the polycrystalline cubic boron nitride with an indentation formed by a Knoop hardness test under conditions specified in ISO4545-1 and ISO4545-4. The second length represents the length of the longer diagonal of the indentation. The first length represents the sum of the second length and the length of the streaky indentation.

A spheronized carbonaceous negative electrode active material and a method of preparing a spheronized carbonaceous negative electrode active material, which has an average particle diameter (D.sub.50) of 8.5-10.5 μm, a minimum particle diameter (D.sub.min) of 2.3 μm or more, and a tap density of 1.00-1.20 g/cc.
Ceramic particle composite material
To provide a ceramic particle separable composite material having a calcium phosphate sintered body particle with which bioaffinity reduction and solubility change are suppressed as much as possible and which has a smaller particle diameter. A ceramic particle separable composite material comprising a ceramic particle and a substrate, wherein: the ceramic particle and the substrate are chemically bonded to each other, or the ceramic particle physically adheres to or is embedded in the substrate; the ceramic particle has a particle diameter within a range of 10 nm to 700 nm; the ceramic particle is a calcium phosphate sintered body particle; and the ceramic particle contains no calcium carbonate.
Homogeneous anaerobically stable quantum dot concentrates
The present disclosure provides nanostructure compositions and methods of producing nanostructure compositions. The nanostructure compositions comprise at least one population of nanostructures, at least one reactive diluent, at least one anaerobic stabilizer, and optionally at least one organic resin. The present disclosure also provides nanostructure films comprising a nanostructure layer and methods of making nanostructure films.
Fabric reinforced with carbon nanostructures to improve mechanical performance
Fabrics that have unique mechanical properties are comprised of fibers that have been reacted to provide carbon nanostructures covalently grafted to these fibers so that the entanglement and/or the reactive bonding between adjacent fibers creates a hierarchal structure reinforcement of the fabric. This entanglement and/or reactivity is also effective for developing reinforcement between plies of structural fabric composites in order to enhance inter-laminar shear strength and mechanical properties.
NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTERY POSITIVE ELECTRODE ACTIVE MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, AND NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTERY WHICH USES POSITIVE ELECTRODE ACTIVE MATERIAL
The present invention provides a composite oxide that can achieve a high low-temperature output characteristic, a method for manufacturing the same, and a positive electrode active material in which the generation of soluble lithium is suppressed and a problem of gelation is not caused during the paste preparation. A positive electrode active material for non-aqueous electrolyte secondary batteries, including a lithium-metal composite oxide powder including a secondary particle configured by aggregating primary particles containing lithium, nickel, manganese, and cobalt, or a lithium-metal composite oxide powder including both the primary particles and the secondary particle. The secondary particle has a porous structure inside as a main inside structure, the slurry pH is 11.5 or less, the soluble lithium content rate is 0.5 [% by mass] or less, the specific surface area is 3.0 to 4.0 [m.sup.2/g], and the porosity is more than 50 to 80 [%].
