LIGHTWEIGHT BLOCKS WITH STONE-LIKE APPEARANCE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
The present disclosure describes modular blocks configured to give the appearance of natural or cut stone. An aesthetic coating composition may be applied to one or more surfaces of a block having a low-density, such as an insulating concrete form (ICF), to form an modular block having the appearance of cut stone. The aesthetic coating composition includes a binder component, such as a cementitious binder made from white Portland cement, or a polymer binder such as an acrylic binder, an aggregate component, such as a limestone aggregate component, and optionally an adhesive component. The aggregate component includes a fine sand portion and a coarse sand portion that effectively enable the appearance of cut stone after finishing of the aesthetic coating surface via sanding, polishing, sandblasting, acid etching, acid finishing, or exposed aggregate finishing.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR 3D PRINTING OF REACTIVE VATERITE CEMENT
Provided herein are compositions, methods, and systems related to 3D printing a reactive vaterite cement composition, comprising feeding a composition comprising reactive vaterite cement through a 3D printing machine; printing a 3D printed reactive vaterite cement product; and curing the 3D printed reactive vaterite cement product by transforming reactive vaterite cement in the 3D printed reactive vaterite cement product to aragonite and/or calcite during and/or after the curing.
Artificial stone construction material and method of making
An artificial stone building tile and method. Disclosed is an artificial stone building tile and a method of making the building tile. The building tile has a low density and significant flexibility, and is nailable without cracking. It is made by layers of cement formulations separated by layers of metal mesh. Color batches of cement are prepared and placed in the bottom of a mold, with the color batches becoming the visible face of the building tile.
PALE-COLORED FIBER CEMENT PRODUCTS AND METHODS FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
The present invention relates to pale-colored fiber cement products at least comprising white cement and synthetic fibers, wherein the synthetic fibers are pigmented with at least one dark pigment chosen from the group consisting of a black pigment, a brown pigment, a blue pigment, a red pigment, a green pigment and a gray pigment. The present invention further relates to methods for the production of these pale-colored fiber cement products as well as to uses thereof in the building industry.
Concrete Wet Cast Ready Mix Composition
A concrete block wet cast ready mix composition preferably includes ground recycled glass, river sand, river gravel, cement, soap, water and a water proofing substance. The river gravel preferably includes natural stone, granite, limestone and domite. The cement is preferably an off white cement. The soap is preferably laundry detergent. The water proofing substance is preferably Grace Optec Admix waterproofing. The wet cast composition is preferably mixed in the following manner. The ground recycled glass, the river sand and the river gravel are mixed together to form an aggregate mix. The cement is combined with the aggregate mix to form a cement aggregate mix. Water is added to the cement aggregate mix to form a wet aggregate mix. Finally, the soap and the waterproofing substance are combined with the wet aggregate mix. The wet cast composition is now ready to be poured into concrete block molds or poured as cast concrete.
Pulverulent primer composition
The present invention relates to primer compositions in powder form that comprise a dispersion powder based on an acrylate polymer having a glass transition temperature in the range from 50 C. to +30 C. and cement. The compositions of the invention are notable for good water barrier effect, good dust-binding capacity, and a low tendency toward salt efflorescence. The compositions find use in the priming of masonry, concrete, rendered surfaces, abraded render, plaster surfaces, wall blocks, wood, and ceramic tiles. They can also be used as adhesion promoters with nonabsorbent substrates such as glazed ceramic or glass tiles, metal surfaces, or surfaces of plastic.
HYDRAULICALLY SET CEMENT BODY FOR PRESERVATION OF ORGANIC LIQUIDS
A method is provided for preserving cooking oil in a food fryer which comprises contacting the oil in situ with at least one oil-permeable cement body which is a stand-alone block and which has been hydraulically hardened from a paste comprising (i) white OPC clinker, (ii) white OPC or (iii) a mixture of white OPC clinker and white OPC, wherein the porosity of the cement body, estimable from the difference between its water-saturated and dry weights, is 30-55%, pores in the body being oil receptive by virtue of low un-bound water content.
Ultra-light cementitious compositions and related methods
An ultra-light, pourable, self-drying cementitious product with improved density control and ultra-low water demand is provided. Compositions and methods for making the products are provided as well, including compositions and methods with ultra-low water demand.
Manufactures, methods and apparatus for structural cellular lightweight concrete
Manufactures, methods and apparatus are provided through which in some implementations a structural cellular lightweight concrete comprises a concrete mixture that is no more than 65% by volume of the manufacture of structural cellular lightweight concrete, the concrete mixture including concrete conforming to the requirements of ASTM C33; foam that has a density of at least 5 lbs./ft.sup.3, having high stability characteristics, and having a closed cell bubble structure; mix water being potable and free of contamination or deleterious materials; and Portland cement conforming to ASTM C150, the Portland cement being Type I, Type III or White Portland cement, and at least 35% air by volume of the manufacture of structural cellular lightweight concrete.
