PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE SHEET AND USE THEREOF
Provided is a PSA sheet having a PSA layer. The PSA layer has a multilayer structure comprising a layer A forming one face of the PSA layer and a layer B placed on the backside of the layer A. The layer B is a photo-crosslinkable PSA layer comprising a photo-crosslinkable polymer.
SURFACE PROTECTION FILM, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SURFACE PROTECTION FILM, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ORGANIC LIGHT-EMITTING ELECTRONIC DEVICE
The present application relates to a surface protective film, a method for preparing a surface protective film, and a method for manufacturing an organic light emitting electronic device.
Polyurethane surfacing film
Surfacing films and related processes are provided. These films include a first clear coat layer comprising a first crosslinked polyurethane that is the reaction product of an isocyanate; a polyol selected from the group consisting of: a caprolactone polyol, polycarbonate polyol, a polyester polyol, acrylic polyol, polyether polyol, polyolefin polyol, and mixtures thereof; and a hydroxy-functional silicone poly(meth)acrylate; a second clear coat layer comprising a crosslinked polymer that is essentially free of hydroxy-functional silicone poly(meth)acrylate; a bulk layer comprising a thermoplastic polyurethane; and an adhesive layer. The provided films overcome the problem of migration of solvents and other impurities into the polyurethane bulk layer because the clear coat layer is cured, and solvents removed, prior to the coating of the polyurethane bulk layer. Manufacturing of these films can provide substantially faster line speeds and reduced waste.
Anti-smudge and Anti-graffiti Compositions
Polyurethane-based and epoxy-based coating compositions are described that provide coatings and adhesives that are clear, amphiphobic and durable. Both water and hexadecane readily slide off these surfaces without leaving a residue. Coatings with thicknesses ranging from about 10 nm to about 10 μm exhibited excellent transmittance properties. Such films exhibited durability against abrasion, ink-resistance, anti-graffiti, anti-fingerprint, and strong adhesion to glass surfaces. The coatings are applicable to electronic devices, fabrics, glass, etc. to prepare optically clear, stain-resistant, and smudge-resistant surfaces.
Film-forming resin composition, laminated film, and article to which laminated film is attached
Provided is a film-forming resin composition for protecting an article that an organic polymer is exposed, including a polyurethane resin (A) having a hydroxyl group, a (meth)acrylic resin (B) having a hydroxyl group, and a polyfunctional isocyanate (C), in which the composition has a cross-linking density n of 1.0×10.sup.−4 to 5.0×10.sup.−3 mol/cm.sup.3, which is determined according to Mathematical Formula (1) n=E′.sub.min/(3RT). Here, E′.sub.min represents a minimum value E′min of storage elastic modulus of a cured film obtained by curing the resin composition at 80° C. for 16 hours in a case where the cured film is subjected to viscoelasticity measurement at a frequency of 1.0 Hz and a temperature range of −40° C. to 160° C., T represents an absolute temperature at the minimum value E′.sub.min, and R represents a gas constant.
TWO-COMPONENT SYSTEM HAVING IMPROVED ADHESION
Described herein are two-component systems, a composite part comprising a coating made of the two-component system, a process for producing a composite part and a use of special siloxane-containing compounds. The addition of a polysiloxane-containing component, either chemically incorporated into the (meth)acrylate component or physically mixed into this component, results in an improved adhesion to a thermoplastic carrier.
COATING AGENT COMPOSITION AND LAMINATED FILM
It is an object of the present invention to provide a coating agent composition from which a cured layer superior in water scale resistance and chemical resistance as well as in processability can be obtained. A cured film superior in water scale resistance and chemical resistance as well as in processability can be obtained from a coating agent composition for a laminated film to protect an exterior curved surface of a vehicle, including a component (A1): a (meth)acrylic resin having a hydroxyl group, and a component (B): a polyfunctional isocyanate compound, wherein the component (A1) has an alicyclic structure (a11) and a structure (a12) selected from the group consisting of polylactone, polycarbonate, polyester and polyether, and the component (A1) has a hydroxyl value of 50 to 150 mg KOH/g.
COATED ARTICLES DEMONSTRATING ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION TRANSPARENCY AND METHOD OF MITIGATING CONTAMINANT BUILD-UP ON A SUBSTRATE
The present invention is directed to coated articles demonstrating a transmission of electromagnetic radiation having a frequency of 22 to 81 GHz in the range of 70% to 100%. The articles comprise substrates coated with curable film-forming compositions comprising a first film-forming polymer prepared from at least one hydrophobic monomer, a second film-forming polymer prepared from at least one hydrophobic monomer, and a curing agent. Upon application of the curable film-forming composition to the substrate to form a coating layer, the first film-forming polymer is distributed throughout the coating layer, and the concentration of the second film-forming polymer is greater at the surface of the coating layer than the concentration of the second film-forming polymer within the bulk of the coating layer. The present invention is also drawn to methods of mitigating contaminant build-up on a substrate using the curable film-forming compositions described above.
