A method for preparing a transparent flexible polyurethane film includes the following steps: (1) mixing a hydroxyl-terminated polyalkylene carbonate diol, a diisocyanate compound, 2,2′-dithiodiethanol, dibutyltin dilaurate and a chloroalkane solvent, and then reacting at 40 to 60° C. for 0.5 to 3 h to obtain an isocyanate-terminated oligomer solution; and (2) adding a polyol cross-linking agent, a bistrifluoromethanesulfonimide lithium salt and a 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazole bistrifluoromethanesulfonimide salt to the isocyanate-terminated oligomer solution, reacting at 40 to 60° C. for 0.5 to 1.5 h, removing the chloroalkane solvent to obtain the transparent flexible polyurethane film.

[Purpose] To provide a thermosetting composition with which it is possible to obtain paint films which not only display stain resistance for a short period after application, but with which excellent stain resistance can also be expected for longer periods, and which comply with the paint film properties required for painted steel sheet such as water resistance and bending workability, and have high environmental protection and safety qualities. [Solution] The present invention relates to a thermosetting composition, wherein it contains, as essential components, (A) a polyester resin of number average molecular weight 1,000-10,000 and hydroxyl value 5-200 mg KOH/g and, (B) 0.5 to 2.0 equivalents, relative to the hydroxyl groups of the aforesaid component (A), of a compound (B) which is a blocked aliphatic polyisocyanate compound having reactivity to the hydroxyl groups of component (A), wherein the blocks are methyl ethyl ketone oxime and/or ε-caprolactam, (C) 0.05 to 5 mass %, relative to the total resin solids mass of component (A) and component (B), of an organotin compound represented by the following general formula (I) [Chem.1] R.sup.1—Sn-(O)C═(O)—R.sup.2).sub.3 (I) (R.sup.1 in the formula represents an organic group wherein it has 1-24 carbons, and is directly bound to the Sn atom via a C atom. The present disclosure describes a low gloss polyurethane one component powder coating composition comprising 90 to 100 wt % of a resin system comprising a thermosetting resin, an isocyanate curing agent for reacting with the thermosetting resin, and a polycarbonate diol, wherein: the thermosetting resin comprises a first hydroxyl functional polyester resin (i) having a hydroxyl value of between 200 and 250 mgKOH/g and a second hydroxyl functional polyester resin (ii) having a hydroxyl value of between 20 and 40 mgKOH/g, the weight ratio of (i):(ii) ranges from 15:85 to 35:65, the isocyanate curing agent comprises at least one unblocked uretdione curing agent, the ratio of isocyanate groups of the curing agent to hydroxyl group of the thermosetting ranges between 0.8 to 1.2, and the total weight % of the polycarbonate diol in the coating composition ranges from 1 to 10 wt % based on the total weight of the coating composition.

BIODEGRADABLE POLYESTER-BASED POLYURETHANE FOAMS

A biodegradable foam which includes a poly-ester-based polyurethane foam and a mixture comprised of a soil-dwelling carbon-digesting bacteria embedded in a carrier compound. The mixture of the soil-dwelling carbon-digesting bacteria is homogenously dispersed throughout the polyester-based polyurethane foam. This biodegradable foam exhibits biodegradation rates higher than a polyester-based polyurethane foam absent the soil-dwelling carbon-digesting bacteria.

The present invention provides an aqueous polyurethane dispersion (PUD) which comprises (1) a polyester polyurethane dispersion which is free of solubilizing agents having carboxyl functionality and (2) a polycarbodiimide dispersion. These dispersions have stabilized performance properties. In addition, the polycarbodiimide dispersion has been found to restore the physical performance of an aqueous polyester polyurethane dispersion in which the performance has degraded due to the polyester component.
