Disclosed herein are a heat-shrinkable polyester label film and a preparation method thereof. The label film has a shrinkage force not lower than 5.5 N in at least one shrinkage direction after immersing the heat-shrinkable polyester label film in water at 55° C. for 30 seconds, and a heat shrinkage rate of not lower than 50% in the shrinkage direction after immersing the heat-shrinkable polyester label film in water at 55° C. for 240 seconds.
SUBSTRATE CONTAINING BOROSILICATE GLASS for HEAT REJECTION OR MITIGATION AND ENHANCED DURABILITY AND STRENGTH
The present disclosure relates to materials, and specifically to materials such as sheet, molded or extruded polymer materials containing flake, formed, powdered, granulated or splintered borosilicate glass for heat rejection or mitigation and enhanced durability and strength. The invention provides a synthetic substrate that includes: 1 to 70 wt % borosilicate glass having an average size of 0.1 to 50 um; and 30 to 99 wt % polymer material, wherein the synthetic substrate has either a denier ranging between 0.1 to 20.0 or a thickness ranging between 0.1 to 20 MIL, which provides thermal management properties including reduction in solar absorptance and net power absorbed by surfaces. The greater the intensity of the solar radiation the more reactive the borosilicate becomes, reflecting and dissipating an increased level of energy.
Process for recovering and reusing depolymerization catalyst
The present disclosure relates to the recovery of an alkoxide catalyst used in a process depolymerizing a polyester to form a diacid or diester and a diol. The present disclosure also relates to the recovery of an alkoxide catalyst used in a process depolymerizing polyethylene terephthalate to form dimethyl terephthalate and mono ethylene glycol.
Low adsorption sealant film, laminated body, and packaging bag
The invention provides a sealant film that is less likely to adsorb components formed of various types of organic compounds, has excellent heat sealing characteristics at 140° C., while having low heat sealing strength at 100° C. and being less likely for heat sealing layers to adhere to each other even when the film is used as a packaging bag and the content thereof is warmed in boiling water. The sealant film has at least one heat sealing layer consisting of a polyester component, wherein a heat sealing strength of the heat sealing layer being heat sealed to another heat sealing layer at 100° C. and 0.2 MPa for 2 seconds is 0-5 N/15 mm and at 140° C. and 0.2 MPa for 2 seconds is 8-30 N/15 mm, and a film density including all layers is 1.20 or more and less than 1.39.
Porous resin microparticles and manufacturing method for same
A manufacturing method for porous resin microparticles comprising steps of: heating a polyester thermoplastic resin having biodegradability to a temperature of 80° C. or higher and 200° C. or lower in a glycol ether solvent to obtain a solution, and cooling the solution to precipitate the polyester thermoplastic resin as porous resin microparticles.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING CONDUCTOR, CONDUCTOR PRODUCING APPARATUS, AND STRUCTURE
Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for producing a conductor. The method includes: applying a resin forming composition containing a polymerizable compound and a solvent on a substrate; polymerizing the polymerizable compound in the applied resin forming composition to form a resin structure that is porous on the substrate; and applying a conductor forming composition containing at least one selected from the group consisting of metal oxide particles and metal particles on the resin structure.
Decoration member
The present disclosure relates to a decoration member comprising a color developing layer comprising a light reflective layer and a light absorbing layer provided on the light reflective layer; and a substrate provided on one surface of the color developing layer, wherein the light absorbing layer comprises a molybdenum-titanium oxide (Mo.sub.aTi.sub.bO.sub.x).
Technology for Recovery, Regeneration and Reuse of Soluble Textiles
The invention discloses a technology for recovery, regeneration and reuse of soluble textiles. The technology comprises the steps of: the dissolution-controlled soluble polyester fibres are processed into soluble apparel accessories through conventional weaving, dyeing, finishing and tailoring or injection molding; the apparels or the soluble apparel accessories are dissolved under a certain condition, on one hand, the dissolving solution is filtered and solutes are recovered to obtain a high purity of terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol, which are reused to the polymerization of the soluble polyester, and the slices of the soluble polyester are obtained to be re-spun into the soluble fibres for reuse; on the other hand, the incompact and undissolved textiles are treated into an incompact fibre aggregation with good qualities by processes including disinfection, decolourization or redyeing, which are processed into high-quality textile fibres for reuse after drying or softly carding.
FILM WITH VOID SPACES BONDED THROUGH CATALYSIS AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME
A film is provided with void spaces having a porous structure with less cracks and a high proportion of void space as well as having strength. The film with void spaces includes one kind or two or more kinds of structural units that form a structure with minute void spaces, wherein the structural units are chemically bonded through catalysis. For example, the abrasion resistance measured with BEMCOT® is in the range from 60% to 100%, and the folding endurance measured by the MIT test is 100 times or more. The film with void spaces can be produced by forming the precursor of the silicone porous body using sol containing pulverized products of a gelled silicon compound and then chemically bonding the pulverized products contained in the precursor of the silicone porous body. The chemical bond among the pulverized products is preferably a chemical crosslinking bond among the pulverized products.
BARRIER ADDITIVES
The present invention relates to processes for making compatibilized high aspect ratio barrier additives and polymer compositions that comprise compatibilized high aspect ratio barrier additives. The invention also relates to compositions produced by these processes, and articles formed from polymer compositions of this invention. The barrier additives provide passive barriers to gas molecules such as oxygen and carbon dioxide minimizing transit of such molecules through sidewalls of polymer articles containing the barrier additives.
