Hybrid self-reinforced composite material
The present invention provides novel hybrid self-reinforced composites, combining an oriented brittle fibre and an oriented thermoplastic polymeric ductile fibre (as reinforcement phase) in the same thermoplastic polymeric matrix phase. The hybrid self-reinforced composites are strong and stiff, but in case of impact or crash they have high strain to failure and absorb a lot of energy. The present invention also relates to methods to produce said hybrid self-reinforced composites by a hot compaction technique.

MULTILAYER TEXTILE FOR SANDWICH STRUCTURE, AND SANDWICH STRUCTURE FIBER-REINFORCED COMPOSITE
A multilayer textile for a sandwich structure includes skins made of a fiber-reinforced resin and a core that is sandwiched by the skins. Skin portions are each configured by a warp and a weft both made of a reinforcement fiber. A core portion is configured by a warp and a weft both made of a fiber that is insoluble in a matrix resin of the skins and has a smaller specific gravity than the reinforcement fiber. The skin portions and the core portion are integrated by a binding yarn that is insoluble in the matrix resin of the skins.
TOUGHENED EPOXY COMPOSITIONS
Disclosed is a toughened epoxy composition comprising (a) a first epoxy component comprising one or more epoxy resins having at least one oxazolidone ring structure; and (b) a second epoxy component comprising one or more liquid epoxy resins; (c) one or more latent epoxy curing agents; (d) one or more rubber toughening agents and (e) one or more phenoxy resin toughening agents.
METHOD FOR PREPARING NATURAL FIBER COMPOSITE MATERIAL FOR INJECTION MOLDING BY USING CONVERGENT NOZZLE HEATING JIG
The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of a natural fiber composite material for injection molding using a reduced nozzle heating jig, and particularly, to a manufacturing method of a natural fiber composite material for injection molding using a reduced nozzle heating jig, which is configured to include: combining natural fibers and synthetic fibers (S1); heat-pressing the combined ply yarn while passing through a reduced nozzle heating jig 100 and melting and pressing the synthetic fibers and fusing the synthetic fibers to the natural fibers (S2); and palletizing the mixed ply yarn (S3).
