Durable, electrically conductive polyurethane compositions and methods of applying same
A polyurethane composition suitable for coating a surface of a substrate. The polyurethane composition can include an aliphatic polyester urethane matrix and a fluorinated ionic antistatic additive. The aliphatic polyester urethane matrix can comprise an aliphatic diisocyanate, a polyester polyol having a polyester diol and a polyester triol, and sulfonated polyester urethane polyol.
Antistatic agent
Provided is an antistatic agent (Z) containing: a block polymer (A) having a block of a hydrophobic polymer (a) and a block of a hydrophilic polymer (b) as structure units; and a sulfonate (S), the sulfonate (S) being a salt of an alkylbenzenesulfonic acid anion which has a C6-C18 alkyl group, the sulfonate (S) including at least two alkylbenzenesulfonates different in the number of carbon atoms of the alkyl group in the anion, the sulfonate (S) satisfying the following formula:
0.40≤W(n)/[W(n−1)+W(n)+W(n+1)]≤0.90
wherein n is the number of carbon atoms of the alkyl group in the anion of an alkylbenzenesulfonate accounting for the highest proportion by weight in the sulfonate (S); W(n) is a weight of said alkylbenzenesulfonate; and W(n−1) and W(n+1) are respectively a weight of an alkylbenzenesulfonate containing an anion having an alkyl group with (n−1) carbon atoms and a weight of an alkylbenzenesulfonate containing an anion having an alkyl group with (n+1) carbon atoms.
Antistatic agent
Provided is an antistatic agent (Z) containing: a block polymer (A) having a block of a hydrophobic polymer (a) and a block of a hydrophilic polymer (b) as structure units; and a sulfonate (S), the sulfonate (S) being a salt of an alkylbenzenesulfonic acid anion which has a C6-C18 alkyl group, the sulfonate (S) including at least two alkylbenzenesulfonates different in the number of carbon atoms of the alkyl group in the anion, the sulfonate (S) satisfying the following formula:

wherein n is the number of carbon atoms of the alkyl group in the anion of an alkylbenzenesulfonate accounting for the highest proportion by weight in the sulfonate (S); W(n) is a weight of said alkylbenzenesulfonate; and W(n−1) and W(n+1) are respectively a weight of an alkylbenzenesulfonate containing an anion having an alkyl group with (n−1) carbon atoms and a weight of an alkylbenzenesulfonate containing an anion having an alkyl group with (n+1) carbon atoms.
IONIC DIOL, ANTISTATIC POLYURETHANE, AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
An ionic diol has formula wherein R.sup.1 represents an alkyl group having from 6 to 18 carbon atoms; R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 independently represent alkyl groups having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R.sup.4 represents an alkylene group having from 2 to 8 carbon atoms; and R.sup.5 represents an alkylene group having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms. Antistatic polymers are formed by copolymerization of monomers including a diisocyanate, an ionic diol, a polyether diol, and at least one non-ionic diols. Methods of making the antistatic polyurethanes are also disclosed.

Pressure sensitive adhesive composition
Provided are a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, a protection film, an optical laminate, a polarizing plate, and a display device. Provided is the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition which is excellent in various physical properties, such as endurance reliability, has excellent antistatic characteristics that change little over time. The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition can be used for a protection film, or can be used for an optical film, such as a polarizing plate, for example.

A particulate material for powder bed fusion has specific particle size characteristics and includes a thermoplastic and a sulfonate salt having the structure (A), wherein Z is a phosphorus atom or a nitrogen atom; each occurrence of X is independently halogen or hydrogen provided that at least one X is halogen; b, d, and e are integers from zero to 12; c is 0 or 1 provided that when c is 1, d and e are not both zero; R.sup.11_13 are each independently C.sub.1-C.sub.12 hydrocarbyl; R.sup.14 is C.sub.1-C.sub.18 hydrocarbyl; and Y is selected from (B)—wherein R.sup.15 is hydrogen or C.sub.1-C.sub.12 hydrocarbyl. Also described is a method of powder bed fusion utilizing the particulate material.
THERAPEUTIC OR EXERCISE PUTTY SPECIALLY FORMULATED TO REDUCE TRANSMISSION OF HARMFUL VIRUSES, BACTERIA AND MICROBIAL PATHOGENS
A therapeutic or exercise putty includes a boronated silicone elastomer serving as the base ingredient and copper sulfate, zinc sulfate, copper oxide, zinc oxide or zinc pyrithione as a secondary ingredient mixed with the base putty or in combination with an antistatic ingredient. The inclusion of any one of the aforementioned secondary ingredients or the antistatic ingredient will reduce the risk of transmission of or infection from viruses, bacteria and microbial pathogens in or on the surface of the putty when the putty is used for hand rehabilitation or exercise by patients.
ADHESIVE FILM AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
The present invention provides an adhesive film hardly suffering from fisheyes and deposition of dirt and dusts thereonto and having excellent mechanical strength and heat resistance as well as good adhesion properties, which can be suitably used as various surface protective films, etc. The present invention relates to an adhesive film comprising a polyester film and an adhesive layer formed on at least one surface of the polyester film, in which the adhesive layer comprises a resin having a glass transition point of not higher than 0° C., and an antistatic agent, and a thickness of the adhesive layer is not more than 10 μm.

Composition for transparent antistatic coating
The present invention relates to a curable composition providing upon curing a transparent antistatic coating comprising a silica organosol, a salt comprising an alkali cation and a Bronsted acid. The invention further relates to optical articles comprising a substrate at least partially coated with a transparent antistatic coating formed by depositing onto substrate and curing the above curable composition. The obtained optical articles exhibit enhanced antistatic properties, high optical transparency, low haze and good mechanical properties, in particular a good abrasion resistance.
