ASPHALT MIX SUITABLE FOR INTEGRATING A HEAT EXCHANGER DEVICE
The present invention relates to hot or warm asphalt mix comprising a granular fraction and a hydrocarbon-based binder, characterised in that the elements of the granular fraction have dimensions between 0 mm and 10 mm, and in that the hydrocarbon-based binder comprises a workability additive, having a melting point above 60 C. and below 130 C., said asphalt mix being resistant to rutting, compact and workable, with a workability, measured with a Nynas workability meter at the working temperature of the asphalt mix, of less than 350N and insulating with a thermal conductivity, , of less than 1 W/m.Math.K.
It also relates to a road surfacing, in particular comprising an integration layer based on the asphalt mix comprising pipes of a heat exchanger device.
It finally relates to a method for preparing such a road surfacing.
Bituminous compositions comprising additives having improved thermoreversible properties
The disclosure relates to a bituminous composition and to the method of preparation thereof. The bituminous composition includes a bitumen, a first additive including at least one fatty acid ester function, saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched, having a hydrocarbon chain with 4 to 36 carbon atoms, optionally substituted by at least one hydroxyl group and a second additive comprising at least one organogelator. The disclosure also relates to the use of a combination of the first and second additives in a bituminous composition, for lowering the dynamic viscosity of a bituminous composition or of a bitumen base at a temperature above or equal to 80 C., preferably above 80 C., without impairing the consistence of the composition at the temperatures of use. Finally, the disclosure relates to the use of these bituminous compositions in the fields of highway applications, in particular in the manufacture of highway binders, and in the fields of industrial applications.
POLYURETHANE, MODIFIED ASPHALT AND MIXTURE MATERIAL CONTAINING SAME AND PAVEMENT STRUCTURE
A polyurethane is obtained by continuously reacting a polyurethane prepolymer in an asphalt or asphalt mixture material system under high temperature. The prepolymer is prepared by: adding a polymerization inhibitor, catalyst and isocyanate component in a reaction container, adding a polyol to the reactor while stirring at room temperature under nitrogen, increasing the temperature to 50-80 C., and maintaining the temperature to react for 0.5-6 hours. A polyurethane modified asphalt, a mixture material containing the polyurethane and a polyurethane modified asphalt pavement structure can be prepared. The synthesis condition of the polyurethane is mild, and a secondary reaction with the air and an active hydrogen component in the asphalt can occur during maintenance and formation to further increase the strength of a mixture material. The standard Marshall stability at 60 C. meets the petroleum asphalt requirement, such that a service life of the asphalt pavement can be increased.
Asphalt mixture composition comprising digestate additive
The present invention relates to asphalt mixture compositions, suitable for building roads, pavements and paved areas, roofing, vehicle parking areas, house-drives, footways, recreation areas such as tennis courts or playgrounds, agricultural uses such as farm roads or animal cubicles, airfields, runways and access roads, hard standings, storage areas, hydraulic applications such as dam construction, coastal protection and other. The present invention also concerns a method of providing such compositions and various uses thereof. In particular, this invention concerns the replacement of, at least a part of, a binder or a binder composition comprised by said asphalt mixture composition, said binder or binder composition preferably being bitumen or polymer modified bitumen, with digestate additive and one or more further component(s), such as aggregate(s), additive(s) and/or filler(s).
ASPHALT PRODUCTS AND METHODS OF PRODUCING THEM FOR REJUVENATION AND SOFTENING OF ASPHALT
The present invention relates to relates to a method of producing an improved asphalt. This method includes providing an asphalt binder and providing a compound of formula (I):
##STR00001##
as described herein. The asphalt binder is mixed with the compound of formula (I) under conditions effective to produce an improved asphalt. Also disclosed are an asphalt product and a method of making asphalt material.
