EPOXY RESIN COMPOSITION, CURED RESIN PRODUCT, PREPREG, AND FIBER-REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL
An epoxy resin composition comprises the following components [A] to [E]: [A] epoxy resin, [B] amine-type curing agent, [C] cure accelerator, and [D] red phosphorus. The epoxy resin composition contains, per 100 mass parts for the total amount of [A], 25-45 mass parts of [A1] a liquid bisphenolic epoxy resin and 20-40 mass parts of [A2] a phenol novolac-type epoxy resin, and has a content ratio of [E] to [D] ([E]/[D]) of at least 1. Provided are a light-weight fiber-reinforced composite material that exhibits an excellent flame retardancy and mechanical properties and does not produce halogen gas during combustion, and an epoxy resin composition that has a viscosity suitable for obtaining the fiber-reinforced composite material as well as prepregs.
RESIN COMPOSITION, AND FILM AND MULTILAYER STRUCTURE USING THE SAME
The present disclosure provides a resin composition containing a bio-polyethylene resin (A), an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (B), and an alkali metal salt (C), wherein the content of the alkali metal salt (C) is 10 ppm to 1500 ppm, in terms of metal, with respect to the weight of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (B). With this resin composition, gel formation and a reduction in transparency during molding are suppressed, and a molded product having an excellent appearance can thus be obtained.

Aqueous ink compositions for inkjet printing on non-porous substrates
An aqueous ink composition for inkjet printing on non-porous substrates and a method for forming the same are disclosed. For example, the method includes preparing a primary polymer latex with an aromatic functional group, a hydrogen-bonding group, a flexible side-chain, and an ionic functional group and mixing the primary polymer latex with a secondary latex binder and one or more co-solvents.
Water soluble polymer for core forming
A core forming method is provided for forming a core. The core forming method includes forming one or more mold parts of water-soluble polymer (WSP), each mold part including a bond area and a part forming area, moistening the bond areas, bonding the mold parts together with the bond areas moistened and the part forming areas aligned to form a cavity shaped as a negative of the core, injecting a slurry, which is non-reactive with the WSP, into the cavity and removing the WSP with water once the slurry is cured.
Multilayer films
There is provided a multilayer film comprising a starch layer and at least one other layer. The multilayer film has excellent barrier properties. The starch layer comprises a modified starch having a degree of substitution less than 1.5. Suitable other layers include polyolefins. The multilayer film finds use in packaging, particularly in packaging foodstuffs.
