Pearlescent pigment for security purposes including organic or inorganic fluorescent material
A pearlescent pigment for security purposes according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a single or a plurality of coating layers containing a metal oxide and an organic or inorganic fluorescent material. Since the pearlescent pigment for security purposes according to the present disclosure includes a fluorescent layer containing the organic or inorganic fluorescent material, it can be used as a pigment for security purposes due to its optical characteristics and can also provide effects such as magnetism, high color intensity, multiple colors, etc. Also, since the pearlescent pigment for security purposes has aesthetic benefit and security characteristic at the same time, it is economical, easy to use and applicable in various industries.
EFFECT PIGMENTS
Temperature-stable effect pigments based on multicoated flake-form substrates, and the use thereof in paints, coatings, printing inks, plastics and in particular in glazes, enamels, ceramic or glass-like materials.
Effect pigments based on artificially produced substrates with a narrow size distribution
The invention relates to effect pigments comprising artificial platelet-shaped substrates which have at least one optically active coating, where the effect pigments have a volume-averaged cumulative undersize distribution curve with the characteristic numbers D.sub.10, D.sub.50 and D.sub.90, said cumulative undersize distribution curve having a span ΔD of 0.7-1.4, and the span ΔD being calculated in accordance with formula (I):
ΔD=(D.sub.90−D.sub.10)/D.sub.50 (I),
and the average thickness of the artificial platelet-shaped substrates being 500 nm to 2000 nm.
CARBON-COATED BiOCl PIGMENTS
BiOCl pigments coated with an amorphous carbon. A process for the preparation of the pigments. And use of the pigments prepared in this way, inter alia in paints, coatings, printing inks, plastics and cosmetics.
Effect pigments having high transparency, high chroma and high brilliancy, method for the production and use thereof
The invention relates to a transparent effect pigment which includes a non-metallic platelet-shaped substrate and a coating applied thereto, wherein the coating has a spacer layer. The invention further relates to a method for the production, as well as the use, of the transparent effect pigment.
EFFECT PIGMENTS
The invention relates to glaze- and enamel-stable effect pigments having a top layer comprising at least one tin/antimony mixed oxide, which have improved stability, in particular at temperatures above 1000 C., in glazes, enamels, ceramic or glass-like materials.
Effect pigments with high chroma and high brilliancy, method for the production and use thereof
The invention relates to an absorbent effect pigment including a nonmetallic substrate in platelet form and a coating applied thereto, wherein the coating includes at least one spacer layer. The invention further relates to a process for production of and to the use of the absorbent effect pigment.
PIGMENT INCLUDING A COATING OF NANOPARTICLES
A pigment including a pre-flake; and a coating of nanoparticles present on a surface of the pre-flake, wherein the nanoparticles can be present in the coating in an amount greater than about 40% by volume is disclosed. A method of making a pigment is also disclosed.
Pigment powders
Disclosed are pigment powders containing only coated BiOCl flakes, which flakes area) BiOCl flakes having a coating containing yellow iron oxide Fe.sub.2O.sub.3*xH.sub.2O, optionally a colorant, optionally an adjuvant, and optionally SiO.sub.2, b) BiOCl flakes having a coating containing SiO.sub.2, optionally a colorant, and optionally an adjuvant, c) BiOCl flakes having a coating containing a colorant, SiO.sub.2, optionally yellow iron oxide Fe.sub.2O.sub.3*xH.sub.2O, and optionally an adjuvant, or d) BiOCl flakes having a coating containing Fe.sub.3O.sub.4 and optionally SiO.sub.2, to a process for the preparation of the pigment powders, and to the use thereof especially in cosmetic formulations.
