CRUDE OIL STABILIZATION AND RECOVERY
20170335205 · 2017-11-23 ·

Volatile organic compounds are removed from crude oil by adding heat upstream of a vapor recovery tower. The heat input may either be sufficient to break the emulsion as in a here treater or extra heat may be added to stabilize the crude oil. Produced gas may be recovered as NGL in one or more cooling stages. Produced gas, whether partially recovered or not, may be used as fuel for said heater treater, other combustion device or compressed into a pipeline.

Embodiments disclosed relate to a debutanizer with a dividing wall. The configuration of the debutanizer includes having a feed section, a top section, a bottom section, and a draw-off section. The debutanizer produces a C4s product, a C5s product and a natural gasoline (NG) product from a C4+s feed. The dividing wall is configured such that an upper portion of the dividing wall is positioned off-set from a vertical centerline and a lower portion of the dividing wall is positioned along the vertical centerline of the debutanizer. A process of use of the debutanizer is also disclosed. A natural gas liquids (NGL) system that includes parallel debutanizers, each with a dividing wall, and a process of use of such system, is also disclosed.

CATALYTIC CRACKING FRACTIONATION AND ABSORPTION STABILIZATION SYSTEM, AND ENERGY SAVING METHOD THEREOF

The present invention provides a catalytic cracking fractionation and absorption-stabilization system, and energy saving method thereof; the present invention is to arrange a waste heat refrigerator of the main fractionating tower, a waste heat refrigerator of rich gas and a waste heat refrigerator of stabilizer in a catalytic cracking fractionation and absorption-stabilization system so as to utilize low temperature waste heat at the top of a main fractionating tower, rich gas, stable gasoline, intermediate heat exchange flow of an absorber of the system as a refrigerator driving heat source; in order to cool naphtha and circulating gasoline to a low temperature lower than 40° C., control low temperature operations of the absorber and reduce the heat load of a desorber and a stabilizer, and the heat extracted by the refrigerators is cooled by cooling water with a higher temperature so as to reduce the consumption of the cooling water. In addition, developed residual pressure generating units and waste heat generating units coordinate to convert medium and low pressure of the dry gas and low-grade waste heat of other products in the system into electric energy that can be conveyed into a grid, therefore the electricity consumption of a dry gas compressor can be supplemented, and the operation cost of the system is reduced to the minimum.

METHODS FOR SEPARATING LIGHT FRACTIONS FROM HYDROCARBON FEEDSTOCK
20170260461 · 2017-09-14 ·

A process for facile separation of lighter hydrocarbon fractions from the heavier fractions of hydrocarbon oil feedstocks is disclosed, which utilizes novel sparging and reverse distillation techniques. The present invention can be utilized for the facile “topping” of crude oil extracted on-site. Moreover, while heavier hydrocarbon fractions may be shipped to refineries for further processing, this invention will also prove useful for quick separation of light fractions produced by cracking processes off-site.
