Aqueous metal colloid combustion additive
The present invention relates to a combustion additive comprising a colloidal solution containing dispersed fine metal particles. The present invention also relates to a method for producing the colloid. More particularly the present teaching relates to a combustion additive having a colloid, wherein the colloid comprises metal particles providing in an alkaline aqueous solution, the metal particles being dispersed within that solution and having an average diameter in the range of 30 nm to 30 μm. The colloid can partly/fully substitute water of a water injection system or used as an air humidification component for combustion.
ADDITIVE FOR LIQUID FUELS, FUEL COMPOSITIONS BASED ON THE ADDITIVE, AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
A nanostructure includes a plurality of substantially spherically curved carbon layers having diameters in a range of 1 nanometer to 1000 nanometers and a plurality of nitrogen atoms attached to an outer convex side of the carbon layers. A composition of matter includes a liquid fuel and an additive including at least one liquid and a plurality of carbon nano-onions. A method of fabricating an additive for liquid fuel includes creating a carbon based material using a plasma in an environment including at least one hydrocarbon gas and/or at least one liquid containing hydrocarbons, organometallic metal-complex, and/or element-organic compounds, evaporating organic material from the carbon-based material, nitrating the carbon-based material, and extracting carbon nano-onions from the nitrated carbon-based material.
NON-AQUEOUS AEROSOL FOAM AND METHODS OF MAKING THEREOF
A composition is provided for a non-aqueous foaming aerosol cleaner or lubricant. Foam builders, especially silicone glycol copolymers, are used to generate high density foam of the solvent-based formula. A cleaning product variant may be introduced via an air intake route for loosening deposits in an internal combustion engine. The high foam aerosol product dispenses easily without causing engine stalling. A process of lubricating a target substrate is also provided.
Chemical inhibitors with sub-micron materials as additives for enhanced flow assurance
Methods may include admixing an additive composition with a hydrocarbon fluid, wherein the additive composition contains at least one inhibitor and at least one sub-micron particle. Additional methods may include providing an additive composition containing at least one inhibitor and at least one sub-micron particle; adding the additive composition to a fluid capable of precipitating at least one of at least of asphaltenes, wax, scale, and gas hydrates; and transporting the fluid containing the additive composition.
Methods and apparatus for the utilization of treated carbonaceous fuels and feedstocks
The inventive technology includes methods and apparatus for the generation and application of segregated catalytic additives for the pre-combustion treatment of carbonaceous fuel and/or feedstocks. The application of such segregated additives results in the reduction of environmentally harmful emissions during combustion as well as gasification processes. Specifically, pre-combustion treatment of carbonaceous materials with the inventive additives results in the reduction of NOx and/or mercury emissions by least 20% and 40% respectively.
NANO TECHNOLOGY TO REDUCE SULFUR CONTENT
A method and chemical composition used to reduce sulfur content in bunker fuel or crude oil comprising: poly acrylonitrile, rnesophase pitch, zinc, acid and lignin.
WATER-FUEL EMULSION AND FUEL TREATMENT METHOD
Declared composition of the fuel-water emulsion and the method of treating the fuel before combustion in a developed cavitation mode are designed to reduce emissions of exhaust and greenhouse gases of internal combustion engines and boilers using diesel fuel and other types of liquid hydrocarbon fuels.
FUEL
An improved fuel, particularly an improved transport fuel composition is provided. Alternate fuels to traditional oil derived petrol and diesel have been considered particularly for transport purposes. However, there are limitations that have prevented their widespread use. A fuel composition is provided for use in an internal combustion engine comprising an organic carrier fuel having a particulate additive dispersed therein, the particulate additive being a lubricant.
Nanocarbon particle based fuel additive
A fuel additive composition has a base fuel; colloidal nanocarbon particles, and a dispersion stabilizer that aids in stably suspending the colloidal nanocarbon particles in the base fuel. This abstract is not to be considered limiting, since other embodiments may deviate from the features described in this abstract.
