METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR SUPPRESSING RETROVIRUSES
The disclosure provides methods and compositions for suppressing retroviruses, including novel methods for treating a retroviral infection in a human in need of such treatment, comprising delivering a functional meiosis arrest female protein 1 (MARF1) to cells containing a retroviral provirus, together with novel expression constructs comprising a coding sequence encoding a functional MARF1 operatively linked to a promoter, vectors comprising such constructs, and packaging cell lines for use in making such vectors.
PEPTIDE-BASED MOLECULES FOR MODULATING CAR EXPRESSION OR ACCESSIBILITY AND USES THEREOF
Peptide-based molecules for modulating expression or accessibility to the coxsackievirus and adenovirus receptor (CAR) are disclosed. Cell-permeable peptide-based molecules having a PDZ-decoy domain or PDZ-binding domain are used to modulate the expression or accessibility of CAR molecules, thereby affecting the ability of viral molecules, or molecules containing viral sequences or proteins able to bind CAR, to enter host cells.
ADENOVIRUS FORMULATIONS
This disclosure provides pharmaceutical adenovirus formulations, in particular, liquid pharmaceutical formulations comprising adenoviruses.

Multipurpose Compositions for Collecting and Transporting Biological Material
The invention is directed to compositions and methods for collecting, transporting, and storing, preferably without refrigeration, biological materials, which may comprise samples of biological, clinical, forensic, and/or environmental origin. Compositions preserve the fidelity and/or viability of the collected organisms and/or macromolecules in the sample and permit long-term storage. Compositions are compatible with manipulation of the sample, including propagation and culture of the microorganisms, or isolation, purification, detection, and characterization of macromolecules. Compositions containing microorganisms or macromolecules can be further processed, for example, by nucleic acid testing with greater fidelity and detection as compared to conventional microbial transport media. In particular, the compositions disclosed allow for the safe collection, transport and storage of biological samples for extended periods at ambient temperature, while maintaining the integrity of the macromolecules of the sample for subsequent extraction, identification, and quantitation.
