THERAPY OF ATHEROSCLEROSIS, PRIMARY BILIARY CIRRHOSIS AND NRLP3 INFLAMMASOME-ASSOCIATED DISEASE BY HTCP INHIBITORS
20180296634 · 2018-10-18 · ·

An inhibitor of Na+-taurocholate cotransporting polypeptide (NTCP) for use in a method of treatment of primary biliary cirrhosis, atherosclerosis, or an NRLP3 inflammasome-associated disease in a subject.

COMBINATION THERAPY OF HBV AND HDV INFECTION
20180228804 · 2018-08-16 · ·

The invention provides a composition comprising an inhibitor of Na+-taurocholate cotransporting polypeptide (NTCP) and a active ingredient selected from the group consisting of a nucleoside analogue such as lamivudine, telbivudine, or entecavir, a nucleotide analogue such as tenofovir, adefovir and an immunomodulator such as interferon alpha. The NTCP inhibitor inhibits HBV/HDV entry into a cell and is preferably derived from an HBV pre-S1 peptide. Also provided are methods of treating HBV and HDV infection, hepatitis B and D, or chronic hepatitis B and D.

Disclosed are immunotherapeutic compositions and methods for preventing and/or treating hepatitis delta virus (HDV) infection, including yeast-based HDV immunotherapeutic compositions and methods of use of such compositions to prevent and/or treat HDV infection and symptoms and sequela thereof.

LCMV-GP-VSV-pseudotyped vectors and tumor-infiltrating virus-producing cells for the therapy of tumors

The invention relates to recombinant VSV viruses and viral vectors which produce a glycoprotein GP of the lymphocyte choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) instead of the G protein of the VSV, to virus producing cells which produce LCMV-GP-pseudotyped VSV virions, and to the use of said vectors and cells in the therapy of solid tumors, especially brain tumors.

Disclosed herein are immunogenic compositions or product combinations of engineered hepatitis B and hepatitis D nucleic acids, genes, peptides, or proteins that can be used to elicit an immune response against a hepatitis B and/or hepatitis D infection. Also disclosed are methods of using the immunogenic compositions or product combinations in subjects to generate immune responses against HBV and/or HDV by administering the compositions or combinations, for example, with a nucleic acid prime and polypeptide boost approach.
