Efficient Treatment Method and Apparatus for Multiphase Steel Slag
The present application provides an efficient treatment method and apparatus for multiphase steel slag. According to the present application, the treatment apparatus for multiphase steel slag comprises a steel slag feeding apparatus and a drum for treating steel slag, and the steel slag feeding apparatus comprises a feeding chute; the treatment apparatus for multiphase steel slag further comprises a storage compartment disposed between the feeding chute and the drum; the storage compartment is an open cylinder, and has one end forming a working fit with the lower open end of the feeding chute and the other end being fixedly connected to and coaxial with the treatment cavity of the drum. By means of the storage compartment obliquely placed between the front of the drum and the feeding chute and used for buffering and transition, there is no need to use a slag raking apparatus, and safe technological treatment of various steel slag by a drum is implemented.
Method of extracting and carbonating calcium from alkaline industrial waste or by-product materials
The present invention concerns a process for producing calcium carbonate from a calcium-containing alkaline slag material, the process containing the steps of extracting the alkaline slag material in a series of extraction steps, including at least 2 extraction steps, using extraction solvent(s) containing salt in an aqueous solution, whereby a calcium-containing filtrate and a residual slag is formed in each extraction step, separating the residual slag from the filtrate after each extraction step, carrying each residual slag to the following extraction in the series of extractions, to be used as raw material in said following extraction, and discarding the residual slag separated from the last extraction, carrying each filtrate to the previous extraction in the series of extractions, to be used as extraction solvent in said previous extraction, and carrying the first filtrate, separated from the first extraction step, to a carbonating step, carbonating calcium as calcium carbonate from the first filtrate, the first filtrate also used as the carbonation solvent, and using a carbonation gas, whereby calcium carbonate precipitates, separating and recovering the calcium carbonate from the remaining carbonation solvent, and recycling the remaining carbonation solvent to the last extraction step in the series of extraction steps, to be used as extraction solvent.
Compositions and Methods for Purification of Metals from Steel Making Waste Streams
Systems and methods are described in which spent pickle liquor from metal cleaning processes is utilized to regenerate a lixiviant used to recover valuable metals from industrial waste and other sources. The spent pickle liquor is neutralized and solvated metals in the spent pickle liquor are precipitated in this process. When the industrial waste is slag from a metal refining process a partially closed metal production process can be implemented, where spent pickle liquor from cleaning of the refined metal is used to regenerate a lixiviant used to recover a different, valuable metal from a waste slag of the process, with precipitated salts from the lixiviant regeneration being returned as a raw material in the metal refining process. As a result waste streams from these processes are dramatically reduced or eliminated.

METHOD FOR REMOVING PHOSPHORUS FROM PHOSPHORUS-CONTAINING SUBSTANCE
Proposed is a method for removing phosphorus from a phosphorus-containing substance which is applicable in an industrial scale so as to effectively reduce phosphorus contained in the phosphorus-containing substance. In this method, the phosphorus-containing substance used as a raw material for metal smelting or metal refining is reacted with a nitrogen-containing gas at a treatment temperature T ( C.) which is lower than a melting temperature (T.sub.m) of the substance, so that phosphorus is removed preferably in the form of phosphorus nitride (PN). In this regard, a nitrogen partial pressure and an oxygen partial pressure in the nitrogen-containing gas are preferably controlled, thereby reducing a load of dephosphorization process, for example.
Method and system for processing slag material
A method and system is used to process slag material to yield by-products including a finished iron rich product and a finished low iron fines product. The by-products may include a finished high iron product and a finished medium iron product. The method and system include size classifying the material into a plurality of sized groups prior to using magnetic separation to separate at least one of the sized groups into two portions having differing magnetic susceptibilities. The method and system may include more than one phase of size classifying the material into a plurality of sized groups and using magnetic separation to separate at least one of the sized groups into portions, where the average size of the material remaining after one phase is reduced prior to the subsequent phase.

High-temperature liquid slag granulating system
A liquid slag granulating system includes a granulator (1), a granulator connecting part and a granulator drive part. The granulator (1) is disc-shaped or cup-shaped, and a diversion cone is arranged at a center of the granulator (1). The granulator drive part drives the granulator to rotate, thus granulating liquid slag. The system further includes an air supply part.
