Renewably Sourced Yarn and Method of Manufacturing Same
A yarn includes a plurality of spun polylactic filaments. Silver particles are impregnated into the spun polylactic filaments to inhibit to growth of bacteria within the yarn. The yarn can be used to create fabric for any type of woven product.
Yarn management device
Disclosed is a yarn management device in a yarn treatment line downstream of a crimping box and upstream of a thermofixing means for crimping, said device including a fixed support and at least one axial drum positioned upstream of the thermofixing means. In some cases, the inlet of the crimping box is formed by one or more crimping rollers for feeding at least one yarn into the crimping box. The drum is traversed by a yarn in the crimping box and mounted on the fixed support of the device so as to perform a substantially axial rotation, allowing the generation of at least one false twist on the treated yarns.
COILED ACTUATOR SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system and method of generating a coiled actuator fiber. The method includes twisting a fiber to generate a twisted fiber, wrapping the twisted fiber around a core to generate a coil in the twisted fiber; and removing at least a portion of the core to generate a coiled actuator fiber. In some aspects that fiber can be a yarn with one or more fibers or a fiber comprising a single elongated element. In some aspects, a portion of the core includes a removable sacrificial portion. The removable sacrificial portion can be dissolvable in a solvent or physically removable. In some aspects, the core further includes a non-dissolvable portion that is not dissolvable and generating a coiled actuator can include removing the sacrificial portion by treating a twisted fiber on the core to remove the sacrificial portion and leaving the non-dissolvable portion.
Texturing device
A device for texturing a thread-like plastic material in order to form a crimped textile yarn, comprising a texturing unit having at least two texturing channels for forming respective yarn plugs, wherein the texturing channels extend in the texturing unit along respective axes which converge in the direction of the discharge openings. The device preferably also comprises a discharge channel in order to guide the yarn plugs from the texturing channels to a moving conveying surface in a converging manner.

The device preferably also comprises a discharge channel in order to guide the yarn plugs from the texturing channels to a moving conveying surface in a converging manner.
Fabric material having cut loop texture, method of manufacturing same and product using same
The present invention provides fabrics with cut loop pile comprising a core yarn of a synthetic multifilament yarn and covering yarn of a split microfiber yarn and a manufacturing method thereof. The core yarn at the section where said loops are cut is outwardly protruded from the covering yarn, wherein the synthetic multifilament core yarn has been separated into multiple filaments to function as hooks. The fabrics with cut loop pile show superior characteristics in polishing properties, sliding properties, water absorption properties, rapid drying properties and feeling of touch since polishing can be performed while easily catching foreign substances such as extremely minute dust particles or human hairs and the like by the hook-shaped multifilaments of the core yarn. Thus the fabrics with cut loop pile according to the present invention can be used usefully in products such as various kind of mats, towels, bathroom products, and the like including dishcloths and mops.
HIGH BULK YARN AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF
A method of manufacturing high bulk continuous multi-filament yarn comprises a number of distinct steps. In a first step, a plurality of filaments of polymer are melt spun to form a partially oriented yarn (POY). In a second step, the POYs are drawn and textured to form a draw textured yarn, wherein texturing is carried out in a friction texturing process. Subsequently at least two plies of the draw textured yarn are twisted and/or cabled together and subsequently heat set to obtain the high bulk continuous multifilament yarn.
