System for Producing Yarn
20230234807 · 2023-07-27 ·

The invention relates to a system of spinning yarn that comprises a filament feed system configured to vary the tension applied to at least two continuous filaments before the filaments are introduced to a roving and twisted to form a yarn. The invention allows the filaments to be introduced to the roving when under tension, under no tension, or when under slack at set distances from the roving centre line by a specialized two filament guide.

FABRIC, AND CABLE COVER FOR ROBOT ARM

For providing a fabric that has a low frictional property and can exhibit long-term tribological properties even when the fabric is subjected to a high-speed frictional force under a high load, there is provided a fabric according to the present invention is a fabric in which a composite yarn of fluororesin fibers A and fibers B other than fluororesin fibers is used for at least one of a warp yarn and a weft yarn, and the fabric is characterized in that a mass ratio α of the fluororesin fibers A in the composite yarn is 5 to 70%, and a ratio of the area ratio X of the fluororesin fibers in a fabric surface to a mass ratio Y of the fluororesin fibers in the fabric is 1 or more and 5 or less. This fabric can be usefully used for a cable cover for a robot arm.

YARNS AND FABRICS INCLUDING ELASTOMERIC FILAMENTS

Yarns including an elastomeric filament and fabrics including elastomeric filaments are described herein. A yarn may comprise an elastomeric filament and a blend of fibers, the blend of fibers comprising modacrylic fibers, meta-aramid fibers, anti-static fibers, and/or para-aramid fibers.

Wool fabric with stretch properties and garments made therefrom

Wool fabrics are disclosed that have improved stretch properties. The wool fabrics can be used in numerous and diverse applications, such as to make uniforms. The fabric can be designed to have greater than 15%, such as greater than about 20% stretch in one or more directions, such as in the fill direction. In one aspect, longer wool fibers are used in the fabric in order to increase durability.

Carbon nanotube hybrid material fabric, composite fabric, and personal protective apparel and equipment

Carbon nanotube (CNT) fiber and sheets formed by a specialized gas assembly pyrolytic reactor method that permits gas phase integration of nano and micro particles (NMPs) are processed into yarn and fabric used in the manufacture of personal protective clothing and equipment that can be tailored via selection of NMPs for a wide variety of functionality depending on target application. The CNT-NMP hybrid fabrics may be designed to exhibit enhanced electrical and thermal conductivity, moisture wicking, air filtering, and environmental sensing properties.

A textile material comprises a plurality of yarns, the yarns containing an intimate blend of dyed polyphenylene sulfide fibers and cellulosic fibers. The dyed polyphenylene sulfide fibers comprising a disperse dye that is distributed substantially evenly across the cross-sectional area of the fibers. A method for dyeing textile materials containing polyphenylene sulfide fibers comprises the steps of (a) providing a textile material comprising yarns which contain an intimate blend of polyphenylene sulfide fibers and cellulosic fibers, (b) providing a dye liquor comprising a liquid medium and a disperse dye, (c) applying the dye liquor to the textile material, (d) heating the textile material under ambient atmosphere to a temperature sufficient to evaporate substantially all of the liquid medium from the textile material, and (e) heating the textile material under ambient atmosphere to a temperature of about 180° C. or more to fix the disperse dye to the polyphenylene sulfide fibers.

PROCESS FOR PRODUCING DYED MIXED FIBRES, DYED MIXED FIBRE YARNS AND/OR DYED MIXED FIBRE TEXTILE FABRICS

The present invention relates to a process for producing dyed mixed fibres (D-MF), dyed mixed fibre yarns (D-MY) and/or dyed mixed fibre textile fabrics (D-MT) in which mixed fibres (MF), mixed fibre yarns (MY) and/or mixed fibre textile fabrics (MT) comprising at least one polyester fibre (PF) and at least one further fibre (FF) are simultaneously contacted with at least two different dyes (D1) and (D2) at a temperature T.sub.D<130° C. The at least one polyester fibre (PF) comprises 80 to 99.5% by weight of at least one terephthalate polyester (A), 0.5 to 20% by weight of at least one aliphatic-aromatic polyester (B) and 0 to 5% by weight of at least one additive (C), wherein the % by weight are based in each case on the total weight of components (A), (B) and optionally (C). Moreover, the present invention relates to the dyed mixed fibres (D-MF), the dyed mixed fibre yarns (D-MY) and/or the dyed mixed fibre textile fabrics (D-MT) obtained by this process.

Flame Resistant Fabrics Formed with Stretchable Yarns
20220372671 · 2022-11-24 ·

Flame resistant fabrics formed with a combination of body yarns and stretch yarns that exhibit excellent physical and thermal properties. The body yarns are formed at least in part with flame resistant materials. The stretch yarns are corespun yarns having an elastic core surrounded by a fiber sheath formed at least in part with flame resistant materials. The fiber sheath protects the elastic core from direct exposure to heat and flame that would otherwise cause the core to degrade or melt.
