INORGANIC-FIBER WOVEN FABRIC FOR CONSTRUCTION FILM MATERIAL, AND CONSTRUCTION FILM MATERIAL
Provided are an inorganic-fiber fabric for a construction membrane material and construction membrane material having excellent resistance to heat damage, great ease of weaving, and high applicability for use in a construction membrane material. An average Al.sub.2O.sub.3 content of a warp, At, and an average Al.sub.2O.sub.3 content of a weft, Ay, are 17.5 mass % or more; a mass per unit length of the warp, Tt, and a mass per unit length of the weft, Ty, are within a range of 100 to 600 g/1000 m; a weave density of the warp, Wt, and a weave density of the weft, Wy, are within a range of 10.0 to 55.0 filaments/25 mm; a ratio of Tt to Ty, Tt/Ty, is within a range of 0.66 to 1.50; and At, Ay, Tt, Ty, Wt, and Wy satisfy the following formula (1-1).
Preparation method for multifunctional polyester fibre
The present invention relates to a method for producing a multifunctional polyester fiber, including: mixing a polyester master batch chip, containing cesium tungsten oxide-based particles, with a general polyester chip; spinning the mixture to form a spun fiber; and cooling the spun fiber using a cooling device having a rotational outflow quenching unit and a nozzle-warming heater, and to a fiber produced by the method. The multifunctional polyester fiber according to the present invention exhibits excellent far-infrared emission properties, thermal storage/insulation properties, spinning processability, and dyeability.
Circumferentially continuous, fire suppressing, dielectric sleeve
A sleeve for protecting an elongate member, including a bus-bar of a battery pack, and method of construction thereof are provided. The sleeve includes a knit wall having a circumferentially continuous outer surface extending along a longitudinal axis between opposite open ends. The knit wall is formed at least in part by multifilament flame-resistant yarn. The multifilament flame-resistant yarn is knit to form both the knit wall, and also first ribs extending lengthwise along the circumferentially continuous outer surface or second ribs extending annularly about said circumferentially continuous outer surface. An impervious, flame-resistant coating is bonded to an outer surface of the circumferentially continuous knit wall.
RIBBONIZED TOWS FOR OPTIMIZED IMPROVED COMPOSITE PERFORMANCE
A method of preparing a ceramic fabric for use in a ceramic matrix composite includes transforming a ceramic tow from a first tow geometry to a second tow geometry, thereby reducing a first dimension of the ceramic tow and increasing a second dimension of the ceramic tow orthogonal to the first dimension to produce a flattened tow. The method includes weaving or braiding the flattened ceramic tow to form a ceramic fabric.
CIRCUMFERENTIALLY CONTINUOUS, FIRE SUPPRESSING, DIELECTRIC SLEEVE
A sleeve for protecting an elongate member, including a bus-bar of a battery pack, and method of construction thereof are provided. The sleeve includes a textile wall having a circumferentially continuous outer surface extending along a longitudinal axis between opposite open ends. The textile wall is formed at least in part by multifilament flame-resistant yarn. An impervious, flame-resistant coating is bonded to an outer surface of the circumferentially continuous textile wall.
Flexible, high temperature resistant, fluid resistant, abrasion resistant, multilayered wrappable textile sleeve and method of construction thereof
A wrappable sleeve for routing and protecting an elongate member, against exposure to high temperature, abrasion, fluid ingress, and contamination, has a multilayered wall extending widthwise between opposite edges and extending lengthwise along a longitudinal axis between opposite ends. The wall includes a textile outer layer, a textile inner layer, and an intermediate layer sandwiched between the outer layer and the inner layer. The intermediate layer includes a textile intermediate layer facing the textile inner layer and a silicone-based layer facing the textile outer layer.
