Flat-knit support garment for upper torso
Aspects of a flat-knit support garment for an upper torso are provided. The flat-knit support garment may include a bra structure having a flat-knit bra material that includes a cup zone, a body zone, a wing zone, a strap zone, and a chestband zone. In some instances, a perimeter of the flat-knit bra comprising a neck opening and armhole openings includes a finished edge treatment corresponding to a high stretch modulus, covered yarn. Such finished edges are generated in seamless construction with the unitary, flat-knit structure of the flat-knit support garment for an upper torso. The flat-knit characteristics of the support garment for an upper torso may correspond to one or more of a flat-knit stitch sequence, a yarn type, and/or a finishing treatment.
Upper-torso garment with three-dimensional knit structures
An upper-torso garment includes a chest-covering portion having a knit textile region, which includes a plurality of courses fully spanning a dome-shaped portion. In addition, the knit textile region includes a plurality of partial-length courses partially spanning the dome-shaped portion.
MOISTURE WICKING AND PERSPIRATION CONCEALING TEXTILE
Aspects herein are directed to a moisture wicking and perspiration concealing knit spacer textile and garments formed therefrom that includes a first knit layer formed from yarns that have been treated with a durable water repellant (DWR) finish prior to being formed into the first knit layer and a second knit layer formed from yarns that have been treated with a wicking finish prior to being formed into the second knit layer. The first knit layer and the second knit layer are interconnected by tie yarns. When the textile is formed into the garment, the second knit layer is configured to be positioned adjacent to a skin surface of a wearer and the first knit layer forms an outer-facing surface of the garment.
PROCESS FOR MAKING A GARMENT
A process for making a garment, provided at least with a trunk (T), a right sleeve (MD) and a left sleeve (MS), includes the steps of: producing a tubular textile article (3), by means of a textile machine, having a shape with cylindrical surface extended around a central axis (X) between an upper edge (4) and a lower edge (5), wherein on the tubular textile article a front side (6) and a rear side (7) are definable, divided from each other with respect to a median plane (A); defining or identifying the textile article a plurality of cutting lines; cutting the textile article along the plurality of cutting lines so as to define and separate a plurality of fabric portions from one another; joining the fabric portions so as to obtain the trunk (T) of the garment, the right sleeve (MD) and the left sleeve (MS). Following the joining step, the garment (1) obtained from the tubular textile article exhibits zones of passage between the trunk (T) and the right (MD) and left (MS) sleeves lacking seams or discontinuities in the fabric, i.e. the passage from the fabric of the trunk to the fabric of the right and left sleeves occurs without interruptions.
SINGLE LAYERED GARMENT FABRIC
Various textile materials and method of manufacturing the same are provide. A method of single layer garment includes providing a single layer of textile material with low melt yarn. The method also includes forming the structure of the single layer of textile 5 material using selective heating to provide material support. The textile material are formed via at least one of a molding machine or a robotic hot air machine.
Upper and lower torso garments having an improved band
A torso garment, such as a brassiere or brief, includes a body formed of inner and outer layers, the body including at least one torso band extending from a portion of the body, where the inner and outer layers overlap along a fold line of the torso garment. The torso garment includes an elastomeric band positioned between the inner and outer layers proximate the fold line.
Bra with sling-like under breast support
A backless bra in a halter form comprises a pair of breast engaging cup panels formed of a circular, flattened elastic, preferably nylon knit material. The L-shaped cup panels can be secured to a waistband and can also be provided with rearwardly and side engaging side panel pieces. When the breasts are placed within the cup panels, the weight of the same causes the knit nylon to become rigid and support the breasts from below in a sling like manner. In the halter embodiment of the invention, a view from the rear, has only the back of the neck engaging segments of the straps and the rear of the waist band visible. Preferably, the primary component of the bra is elastic, tubular knit nylon, formed from conventional circular nylon knitting machines.
Aerographics and denier differential zoned garments
The present disclosure relates to a multi-layered design for an article of apparel such as swimwear. In particular, at least one layer may include a stretch resistant matrix made of a thermoplastic polymer, a silicone or other similar material to provide additional support and modesty to certain areas of the apparel, such as the bust area. Further, a method of manufacturing the article of apparel is also disclosed. According to aspects described herein, the layers may be integrated using techniques to increase the overall integrity of the apparel.
Knit Sleeve Convergence of Pattern
Present aspects are directed to a knit sleeve that provides for a left-arm wearing or right-arm wearing assembly location for each knit sleeve, as coupled to a garment body, as well as a convergence between knitted features on front and back body extensions as mated to the upper arm of the sleeve. A knit sleeve convergence pattern for an underarm portion of a knit sleeve comprises a plurality of knitted ribs and a convergence point comprising a central location between the plurality of knitted ribs.
LIGHTWEIGHT, PERMEABLE GARMENT FORMED FROM MONOFILAMENT YARNS
Aspects herein relate to a garment that comprises a first knit textile comprising a cell configuration having a knitted perimeter portion and a knitted central portion that is integrally knitted with and enclosed within the knitted perimeter portion. The knitted perimeter portion comprises a first percentage by weight of a first yarn type and a second yarn type. The knitted central portion comprises only the second yarn type. The knitted textile further comprises a second knit textile that is integrally knit with the first knit textile and comprises a plurality of linear knit portions. A first linear knit portion comprises a first percentage by weight of the first yarn type and a second linear knit portion comprises solely the second yarn type. The first linear knit portion of the plurality of linear portions is directly interlooped with a second leaner knit portion.
