STRETCH KNIT METAL CHAIN FABRICS
20230349079 · 2023-11-02 ·

A knitted metal fabric of at least two rows of loops, the rows of loops comprising metal chain knitted together to form a knitted metal fabric. The metal chain comprises a plurality of links of metal linked together to form the chain. The knitted metal chain fabric may be made into garments or used in any manner as other fabrics. A method for making the fabric includes providing at least one metal chain of links flexibly linked together, feeding the metal chain into a knitting machine, maintaining an even tension on the chain, knitting the metal chain into a knitted pattern to form a fabric, and weighting the fabric.

A flat knitting machine mangling device with position varying with gap size is provided. The flat knitting machine mangling device includes a driving element, a fixing base disposed on a cam supporting base, a sliding base disposed to correspond to the fixing base, a limiting block combined with the fixing base and limiting the sliding base to only slide relative to the cam supporting base, a mangling sheet supporting arm and a mangling sheet disposed on the mangling sheet supporting arm. The driving element is started when a knock-over bit cam makes a displacement stroke. The sliding base is provided with a guide block and makes a regulation stroke relative to the cam supporting base when the driving element is started. The guide block drives the mangling sheet to move to change a mangling position when the sliding base makes the regulation stroke.

Double-sided fabric and method for knitting double-sided fabric

A double-sided fabric stacked with a continuous cord material and forming a thickness in a knitted sack is knitted from a face yarn by a flat knitting machine including a front needle bed, a back needle bed and a loop presser bed. The front needle bed includes a plurality of front knitting needles. The back needle bed includes a plurality of back knitting needles. The loop presser bed is disposed above the front or back needle bed, and includes right-directed and left-directed knitting pressing pieces. The double-sided fabric further includes at least one knitted sack including loops knitted from the face yarn by the front and back knitting needles. The knitted sack includes therein at least one continuous cord material, which is pressed into the knitted sack by the right-directed and left-directed knitting pressing pieces to become folded and stacked to form a thickness.

A knitting machine may include a sinker configured to move between an open position and a closed position. The knitting machine may have a sinker actuator system having a first configuration and a second configuration. The sinker actuator system, in the first configuration, may be configured to actuate the sinker from the open position toward the closed position. The sinker may be configured to change the sinker actuator system from the first configuration to the second configuration when the sinker receives an input force above a predetermined threshold in the movement from the open position toward the closed position. The sinker actuator system, in the second configuration, may allow the sinker to move away from the closed position toward the open position.

Stitch-pressing components, knitting machines with stitch-pressing components, and methods of manufacturing, integrating, and using the same. The stitch-pressing components herein can be configured to replace a yarn-feeder that is mounted on a rail of a knitting machine. This allows the stitch-pressing component to be shifted along the rail, and shifted between a raised position and a lowered position like the yarn-feeder, so that the stitch-pressing component can be used to press on yarn that is inlaid to form part of a knitted structure. The stitch-pressing components herein can be implemented in knitting machines to facilitate different stitch-pressing processes with limited cost, complexity, and modification to existing knitting machines.
