A nonwoven mat and a method of making a nonwoven mat are provided. The nonwoven mat includes reinforcing fibers and a binder composition that includes a polycarboxy polymer and polymer microspheres. The binder composition may also include low-density fibers, such as microfibrillated cellulose fibers. The polymer microspheres have a thermoplastic shell that encapsulates a blowing agent. The thermoplastic shell has magnesium hydroxide on its outer surface. The components of the binder composition interact with one another and/or the reinforcing fibers to form a nonwoven mat having a less permeable structure and a higher caliper.

A nonwoven mat and a method of making a nonwoven mat are provided. The nonwoven mat includes reinforcing fibers and a binder composition that includes a polycarboxy polymer and polymer microspheres. The binder composition may also include low-density fibers, such as microfibrillated cellulose fibers. The polymer microspheres have a thermoplastic shell that encapsulates a blowing agent. The thermoplastic shell has magnesium hydroxide on its outer surface. The components of the binder composition interact with one another and/or the reinforcing fibers to form a nonwoven mat having a less permeable structure and a higher caliper.

The present disclosure relates to an oral pouched snuff product comprising a filling material and a saliva-permeable pouch enclosing the filling material, the oral pouched snuff product having a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction perpendicular to said longitudinal direction, the saliva-permeable pouch comprising a first elongated seal and a second elongated seal, each of said first and second elongated seals having a seal length extending along the transverse direction of the product and a seal width extending along the longitudinal direction of the product, wherein the seal width of said at least one elongated seal being equal to or less than 2 mm, such as within the range of from 0.1 mm to 2 mm or from 0.1 mm to 1 mm or from 0.1 mm to 0.5 mm. There is also provided a container having a base and a detachable lid together providing an interior container space in which a plurality of these oral pouched snuff products is contained.

Oral pouched snuff product

The present disclosure relates to an oral pouched snuff product comprising a filling material and a saliva-permeable pouch enclosing the filling material, the oral pouched snuff product having a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction perpendicular to said longitudinal direction, the saliva-permeable pouch comprising a first elongated seal and a second elongated seal, each of said first and second elongated seals having a seal length extending along the transverse direction of the product and a seal width extending along the longitudinal direction of the product, wherein the seal width of said at least one elongated seal being equal to or less than 2 mm, such as within the range of from 0.1 mm to 2 mm or from 0.1 mm to 1 mm or from 0.1 mm to 0.5 mm. There is also provided a container having a base and a detachable lid together providing an interior container space in which a plurality of these oral pouched snuff products is contained.

PRODUCTION OF FIBER WEBS USING AIRLAID NONWOVENS

Nonwoven fiber webs are produced by spraying one or more aqueous binder formulations containing one or more polymers selected from the group of vinyl ester polymers and (meth)acrylic ester polymers, and in a separate step, spraying one or more aqueous silicone formulations containing one or more polysiloxanes, onto the surface of an airlaid nonwoven.

The space filling material (11) includes reinforcing fibers and a thermoplastic resin, wherein the reinforcing fibers form a plurality of intersections at least a part of which are bonded with the thermoplastic resin, and among all of the reinforcing fibers, a proportion in volume of reinforcing fibers each having a bent ratio of 1.004 or higher is 20 vol % or more relative to a total volume of the reinforcing fibers, the bent ratio being defined as a ratio of fiber length/shortest distance between opposite ends of fiber. The space filling material (11) expands to fill a predetermined space (13) when the thermoplastic resin is softened by heating to release bending loads of the reinforcing fibers.

The binder binds between fiber molecules by the addition of water. The powder has an average particle diameter (D50) of 20.0 μm or less.
