Web support, production method therefor, and patterning method

A web support with a high degree of patterning freedom and excellent durability, a production method therefor, and a patterning method. The web support is used when applying a pattern to a nonwoven substance by jetting a high-pressure water stream on a web. The web support production method comprises: a step of preparing a flat metal base material; a step for forming, by etching, a first water conduction hole and second water conduction hole that pass through the front surface of the base material to the back surface, and a recess on the front surface of the base material that includes the first water conduction hole and that corresponds to the pattern; and a step for forming the base material into a cylindrical main body section by welding the edges of the base material to each other.

Nonwoven, and process and apparatus for producing the same

The present invention relates to a process for making a fibrous web comprising a plurality of first areas comprising hydroentangled fibers, the first areas being discrete in a machine direction and/or a counter-machine direction, the process comprises subjecting a fibrous web to a hydroentanglement process directing water jets from a water injection means on to the fibrous web, and blocking at least one of the water jets from the water injection means discontinuously using a first blocking member positioned between the water injection means and the fibrous web wherein the first blocking member comprises at least one aperture, or at least one recess on its surface, and is rotatable about an axis perpendicular to a z-direction.

System and method for air entanglement

A circular air entangling system may comprise a bed plate for receiving fiber layers. An air entangling module may entangle the fiber layers with one another and a fiber packaging apparatus may transport the fiber layers for further processing. In this manner, a fiber preform may be constructed.

A system for bonding at least one wet-laid or dry-laid fiber layer to form a nonwoven web. The system includes a conveyor having a circulating belt which has an upper strand arranged so that the at least one wet-laid or dry-laid fiber layer is deposited and displaced on the upper strand in a production direction, a first bonding device which bonds the at least one wet-laid or dry-laid fiber layer when on the upper strand, a second bonding device arranged so that the at least one wet-laid or dry-laid fiber layer is bonded after leaving the upper strand, and a transfer device which feeds the at least one wet-laid or dry-laid fiber layer to the second bonding device.

Nozzle foil for a nozzle bar with connectable foil segments

A nozzle foil (12), for a nozzle bar (10) of a textile processing machine, having a plurality of nozzle openings (16) arranged in one or more rows (40) in a longitudinal direction L. The nozzle foil (12) consists of at least two adjacent foil segments (25) that can be mechanically connected with each other in a form-fitting manner. With the connection established, the upper sides (15) and the undersides (17) of the foil segments (25) are in a common plane. To accomplish a form-fitting connection, connecting means (27) provided on one foil segment (25) interact with opposing connecting means (28) of the other foil segment (25). The connecting means (27) and the opposing connecting means (28) are integral components of the respective foil segment (25) and preferably are manufactured at the same time as the respective foil segment (25) and consist of the same material as the respective foil segment (25).
