BINDER, AND APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FORMING FIBER-BASED ITEM
A binder that is used for forming fiber-based items and that binds fibers contains a polyester and an aggregation inhibitor. The polyester contains a structural unit derived from polyethylene terephthalate, a structural unit derived from at least one polyvalent carboxylic acid, and a structural unit derived from at least one polyhydric alcohol including trimethylolpropane. The binder exhibits a viscosity coefficient higher than 3500 P at 150° C. in dynamic viscoelasticity measurement.
FIBER-REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
An object of the present invention is to develop and provide a fiber-reinforced composite material having a bagworm silk thread(s) as a reinforcing fiber and being isotropic in terms of elastic modulus and strength. A fiber-reinforced composite material having nonwoven fabric(s) including bagworm silk thread as a reinforcing fiber is also provided.
PULP-CONTAINING BIODEGRADABLE NON-WOVEN FABRIC AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a biodegradable non-woven fabric, a method for producing a biodegradable non-woven fabric and a wipe or tissue. The biodegradable non-woven fabric comprises biodegradable fibers and pulp fibers. At least a part of the biodegradable fibers is entangled with each other. At least a part of the pulp fibers is covalently bonded to each other by at least one of the group consisting of a biodegradable binder, a biodegradable wet-strength agent and a biodegradable binder fiber.
High temperature treated media
A thermally bonded filtration media that can be used in high temperature conditions in the absence of any loss of fiber through thermal effects or mechanical impact on the fiber components is disclosed. The filter media can be manufactured and used in a filter unit or structure, can be placed in a stream of removable fluid, and can remove a particulate load from the mobile stream at an increased temperature range. The combination of bi-component fiber, other filter media fiber, and other filtration additives provides an improved filtration media having unique properties in high temperature, high performance applications.

WIPE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A wipe and a manufacturing method are disclosed. Upper and lower layers of the wipe are melt-blown fiber webs, and an intermediate layer thereof is a wood pulp fiber web, wherein an adhesive is attached to the surfaces of the melt-blown fiber webs, and melt-blown fibers of the melt-blown fiber webs are interwoven in the wood pulp fiber web. When in use, fuzz and pilling of the melt-blown fibers on the surfaces caused by friction are prevented, and the wood pulp short fibers in the intermediate layer is also further prevented from falling out to cause “Tinting” during use.

Thermal insulation product based on mineral wool and method of fabrication of the product
The invention relates to a thermal insulation product based on mineral wool comprising mineral fibers, the product comprising two main faces and longitudinal and transverse edges perpendicular to the main faces, the product being characterized by the following orientation fractions: a longitudinal orientation fraction greater than or equal to 48 %, or even 50 %, along an angle of more or less 6° with respect to the plane of the main faces, when the mineral fibers are counted only in a longitudinal cross-section, and a mean orientation fraction greater than or equal to 40 %, or even 45 %, along an angle of more or less 6° with respect to the plane of the main faces, when the mineral fibers are counted both in a transverse cross-section and in a longitudinal cross-section. The invention allows the insulating power of a thermal insulation product based on mineral wool to be improved without increasing its thickness.
