Mat having long and short inorganic fibers
The present invention provides a mat comprising a layer having a mixture of long and short fibers wherein said short fibers have a length of not more than about 13 mm and wherein said long fibers have a length of at least about 20 mm and wherein the amount of said short fibers is at least about 3% by weight based on the total weight of said mixture of long and short fibers.
CARRIER MATERIAL COMPRISING A FIRST PART OF A FORM-FIT CONNECTION
A carrier material includes at least a first thermoplastic fiber layer and a second thermoplastic fiber layer. At least a part of the first thermoplastic fiber layer and/or the second thermoplastic fiber layer at at least one boundary of the carrier material is removed, to provide a first part of a form-fit connection. The carrier material can be used in bituminous roofing membranes, roofing underlayment sheets, carriers for filter media, primary backings for tufted carpets and (cushion) vinyl floor coverings.
Thermal insulation product based on mineral wool and method of fabrication of the product
The invention relates to a thermal insulation product based on mineral wool comprising mineral fibers, the product comprising two main faces and longitudinal and transverse edges perpendicular to the main faces, the product being characterized by the following orientation fractions: a longitudinal orientation fraction greater than or equal to 48 %, or even 50 %, along an angle of more or less 6° with respect to the plane of the main faces, when the mineral fibers are counted only in a longitudinal cross-section, and a mean orientation fraction greater than or equal to 40 %, or even 45 %, along an angle of more or less 6° with respect to the plane of the main faces, when the mineral fibers are counted both in a transverse cross-section and in a longitudinal cross-section. The invention allows the insulating power of a thermal insulation product based on mineral wool to be improved without increasing its thickness.

Methods to manufacture a textile product
The present invention pertains to a method to manufacture a textile product comprising a first sheet having a width and a length, and polymer yarns fastened to this sheet to form a pile thereon, the method comprising providing the sheet, stitching the polymer yarns through the sheet to form the pile on a first surface of the sheet and loops of the yarns at a second surface of the sheet, transporting the sheet in a direction parallel to its length along a heating element, the heating element being directed to the second surface of the sheet, heating the second surface with the heating element to at least partly melt the loops of the yarns to fasten the yarns to the sheet, wherein the method comprises transporting the sheet in contact with the heating element, wherein the heating element is a stationary rigid plate-like element having a width corresponding to the width of the sheet, and a length that extends parallel to the length of the sheet, the plate being curved in its length direction, wherein the outer circumference of the plate is contacted with the sheet. The invention also pertains to a method to use a textile product obtained with the new method and a device for applying the said method.
CONTINUOUS NONWOVEN POLYESTER FIBER AND FIBERGLASS THREAD HYBRID MAT
Disclosed are methods and devices for forming a combined polyester and fiberglass mat, in which separate polyester and fiberglass layers can be formed or polyester filaments and fiberglass threads can be mixed together by a disperser to form a polyester and fiberglass web. The polyester filaments and the fiberglass threads can be dispersed by separate dispersers on a web forming belt to form separate layers of polyester filaments and fiberglass threads, or can be dispersed by a single disperser to at least, somewhat evenly disperse, the fiberglass threads and polyester filaments.
