Drum washing machine
Disclosed herein is a drum washing machine having an improved motor mount structure. The drum washing machine includes a tub having a coupling part; a drum rotatably installed in the tub; a motor bracket installed at the coupling part; and an elastic member having a cylindrical shape and disposed between the motor bracket and the tub, wherein the elastic member comprises a rib protruding in a radial direction from the inner circumferential surface of the elastic member, and the rib has the longest protrusion at a longitudinal center of the elastic member.
Direct drive electric motor having stator and magnet configurations for improved torque capability
An electric motor for an appliance includes a rotor coupled with a drive shaft. The rotor includes a plurality of rotor magnets that each define a magnet assembly including a plurality of magnet portions having different magnet pole orientations. A stator is in electromagnetic communication with the rotor. A gap is defined between the stator and the rotor. The stator comprises a stator core. A plurality of stator poles define the gap. Stator magnets are positioned within the stator core and are located to partially define the gap. Each stator magnet defines a pair of flux paths that extend around an outer perimeter of the stator magnet and onto the gap. The different magnet pole orientations of the plurality of rotor magnets operate to direct an effective magnetic flux toward the gap.
DRUM WASHING MACHINE
Disclosed is a drum washing machine, including: a drum configured in an outer tank and capable of rotating by using an inclination axis as center; a stirring body configured at a rear part of the drum and including main blades in contact with washings; a driving unit enabling the drum and the stirring body to rotate at different rotating speeds; and a water supply mechanism part configured to splash water to a surface of the stirring body. The water supply mechanism part includes a first water storage part capable of moving between a position in water soaked in the outer tank and a position higher than the water and storing water when soaked in water of the outer tank, and a first outflow port capable of enabling water stored in the first water storage part to flow out to the surface of the stirring body at an upper position.
Laundry appliance having a processing belt
A laundry appliance includes a cabinet defining a processing chamber within an interior. A processing belt is positioned between opposing sidewalls of the cabinet and partially defines the processing chamber. The processing belt translates vertically within the interior to define a rear portion of the processing chamber.
Method and apparatus for cleaning laundry
A laundry washing machine having a casing, a washing tub located within the casing, a drum mounted within the washing tub and configured to rotate relative to the casing, a door attached to the casing and being openable to provide access to the drum, a receptacle configured to receive a unit dose package comprising a water soluble pouch containing a dose of cleaning product, a tub supply pipe fluidly connecting the receptacle to washing tub, and means for mechanically breaking the unit dose package.

Axial flux motor having rectilinear stator teeth
An axial flux motor for an appliance includes a stator yoke. A plurality of stator teeth extend from the stator yoke in an axial direction and are positioned about a central rotational axis. Each stator tooth includes a plurality of laminations that extend in the axial direction and form a “T” shaped member. The plurality of stator teeth are overmolded with a polymeric material to define a plurality of axial stator poles. At least one winding extends around the plurality of axial stator poles. A ring-shaped rotor rotates about the central rotational axis of the stator yoke. The rotor is positioned proximate an axial end of the plurality of axial stator poles.

LAUNDRY TREATING APPARATUS
A laundry treating apparatus includes a drum and a lifter disposed on an inner circumferential surface of the drum and configured to rotate with the drum. The lifter includes a lifter frame installed on the inner circumferential surface of the drum and a frame cover coupled to the lifter frame. The lifter frame includes a frame base coupled to the inner circumferential surface, a frame upper plate having a first water flow through-hole, and a frame sidewall that connects the frame upper plate to the frame base and that defines a second water flow through-hole. The frame cover includes a cover upper plate having a water flow discharge hole configured to discharge, into the drum, washing water having passed through at least one of the first water flow through-hole or the second water flow through-hole, and a cover sidewall that extends from the cover upper plate to the frame base.
Washing machine and control method thereof
A washing machine includes a cabinet including an entrance which is formed in a front surface of the cabinet such that laundry is input into or output from the entrance, a tub mounted inside the cabinet, a drum received in the tub and rotatably provided, a motor to provide driving force to rotate the drum, and a vibration sensor to sense vibration of the tub.
