Heat resistant reinforcing cloth for airbag
A heat resistant reinforcing cloth for an airbag is provided. The heat resistant reinforcing cloth can be disposed on an airbag part which contacts expansion gas in an airbag. The airbag can be deployed and expanded by expansion gas ejected from an inflator. The heat resistant reinforcing cloth comprises: a base fabric of natural fibers selected from the group consisting of cotton, hemp, flax, and combinations thereof; and a silicone rubber layer on both sides of the base fabric.
NYLON FLOORCOVERINGS EMPLOYING VAT DYESTUFFS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
In one aspect, floor coverings are described herein comprising nylon fibers dyed with at least one vat dyestuff, the dyed nylon fibers exhibiting enhancements to lightfastness, color fastness, wet fastness and/or resistance to household bleach.
COMPOSITE FABRIC CONTAINING BIO-BASED FIBERS
In a first embodiment, the invention provides a composite fabric which contains a first fabric layer and a thin film. The first fabric layer has an upper and lower side and contains a plurality of synthetic polymer fibers. The synthetic polymer fibers contain at least 15% of bio-based carbon content as measured by ASTM D26866-20 Method B. The thin film is located on the lower side of the first fabric layer and contains at least 15% of biobased carbon content as measured by ASTM D26866-20 Method B. The thin film has an average weight of less than about 30 GSM and has an air permeability of less than about 1 CFM as measured by ASTM D737 @ 125 Pa.
COMPOSITE NYLON AND POLYESTER WOVEN FABRIC
A ripstop woven fabric woven from a combination of nylon yarn and polyester yarn. The nylon yarn forms between 40% to 80% of the woven fabric while the polyester yarn forms between 20% to 60% of the finished woven fabric. The fabric may be woven in a ripstop pattern. The face side of the ripstop fabric may be coated with one or more of a durable water repellent (DWR) and silicone coating, while the back side of the ripstop fabric is coated with a polyurethane coating. The ripstop fabric has an uncoated fabric weight range of between 23 and 40 GSM while the ripstop fabric has a coated fabric weight range of between 29 and 50 GSM.
Method of maintaining soil strength and stability
A method of maintaining soil strength and stability involves positioning a sheet of soil stabilization and strengthening material on a selected area where the strengthening and stabilization of the soil is desired. The sheet of soil stabilization and strengthening material includes a fabric layer that forms a base of the soil stabilization and strengthening material. The lower surface of the fabric layer is positioned against and engages the selected area. A moisture impervious layer is coupled to the upper surface of the fabric layer. A particulate aggregate material is embedded in the moisture impervious layer.
Artificial turf and method for preparing the same
The present invention relates to an artificial turf. In the present invention, nylon is used as the main material. Through selecting straight fibers and curve fibers with certain cross-sectional shapes, lengths and widths and using the straight fiber and curve fiber together, the obtained grass fibers not only have relatively good temperature resistance, but also good handfeel, wear resistance, anti-aging performance, grass fiber resilience, trampling resistance and grass uprightness.
Method for producing textile products, products obtainable therefrom and method to reclaim the products
The present invention pertains to a method for manufacturing a laminated textile product comprising providing a first intermediate product comprising a primary backing having a front surface and a back surface, and yarns stitched into the primary backing, the yarns extending from the front surface of the backing material, feeding the intermediate product along a body having a heated surface, the back surface being pressed against the said heated surface, to at least partly melt the yarns present in the intermediate product to bond the yarns to the backing, wherein the part of the back surface that is pressed against the heated surface has a relative speed with respect to the heated surface, so as to provide a second intermediate product having a calendered back surface, providing a dimensionally stable carrier sheet or secondary backing, and connecting the second intermediate product to the carrier sheet by providing a hot melt adhesive between the calendered surface and the sheet, and pressing the sheet to the second intermediate product to form the textile product.
ARTIFICAL GRASS
The present invention relates to a face spinneret and/or nylon face fiber having a certain shape and dimension which impart improved characteristics to the fiber, such a softer feel and a reduced sheen. In another embodiment, the invention is directed to a thatch spinneret and/or nylon thatch fiber having a certain shape and dimension which impart improved characteristics to the fiber, such a softer feel and a reduced sheen.
Lightweight Carpet Tile and Method
A novel carpet tile is provided with a roller applied polyurethane adhesive layer at a rate of less than 45 ounces per square yard, resulting in a lightweight backing with exceptional dimensional stability.
