Tissue paper making machine and a method of operating a tissue paper making machine
A tissue machine (1) has a Yankee (3) and a shoe roll (4) that forms a nip with the Yankee (3). The nip has a maximum extension from an entry point (7) to an exit point (8). A flexible belt (9) forms an outer circumference of the roll (4). A fabric (10) carries a fibrous web (W) to the nip and passes through the nip with the web. The fabric (10) reaches the circumference of the roll (4) at a first contact point (11) and wraps the roll (4) from the first contact point to the nip. A mechanical support (12) inside the belt (9) supports the belt (9) between the first contact point (11) and the nip. The fabric (10) wraps the roll (4) from the first contact point (11) by more than 80°. The invention also relates to a method of operating the machine.
Molding roll for making paper products
A roll for molding a fibrous sheet. The roll includes a rotatably driven cylindrical shell. The cylindrical shell includes an interior surface, an exterior surface, and a permeable patterned surface on the exterior surface of the shell. The permeable patterned surface has at least one of a plurality of recesses and projections, a plurality of holes extending from the exterior surface to the interior to allow air to be moved through the shell. Each hole has an exterior end and an interior end, and a plurality of grooves. Each groove is fluidly connected to the exterior end of each hole and extends outward from the corresponding hole. The roll also includes a vacuum box on the inside of the cylindrical shell to draw air from the exterior surface of the shell to the interior surface. The vacuum box is stationary with respect to the rotation of the shell.
Crescent former for producing tissue paper
The present invention relates to a crescent former for producing tissue paper, the former comprising a forming section (A), a press section (B) and a drying section (C), wherein the crescent former further comprises a felt fabric (41) for carrying the stock from the forming nip (15) of the forming section (A) to the press nip (22) of the press section (B), and the felt fabric (41) being configured to carry the stock to the press nip (22) where the stock is transferred to the drying section (C), wherein further the felt fabric (41) is configured to be returned from the press nip (22) to the forming nip (15) in a return section (D) such that the felt fabric (41) forms an endless loop, wherein the return section (D) comprises a cleaning station (42), of which at least a part is arranged in a negative machine direction (−MD) in relation to a center line (R) of the forming roll (12).
Paper roll production apparatus
Provided is a paper roll production apparatus that saves installation space and enables production of paper rolls of different qualities and a shortening of production time. The paper roll production apparatus includes: a sheet-forming and dewatering part 5 forming paper stock into a sheet and for dewatering the paper stock; a drying machine 6 drying the paper stock dewatered by the sheet-forming and dewatering part 5 to form a dry paper material; a switching mechanism part switching to feed, into the drying machine 6, the paper stock dewatered by a first sheet-forming machine included in the sheet-forming and dewatering part 5 or the paper stock dewatered by a second sheet-forming machine included in the sheet-forming and dewatering part 5; and a winder 8 winding up the dry paper material provided by the drying machine 6 to form a paper roll. The first sheet-forming machine operates at a sheet-forming speed at which a fiber orientation of the paper stock is maintained. The second sheet-forming machine operates at a sheet-forming speed faster than the sheet-forming speed of the first sheet-forming machine. The winder 8 winds up the dry paper material at a speed corresponding to the sheet-forming speed of the first sheet-forming machine or to the sheet-forming speed of the second sheet-forming machine to form the paper roll material.
