SYSTEM FOR MONITORING APPLICATION OF ROADWAY MARKING TAPE
20220090333 · 2022-03-24 ·

The present disclosure relates to a system for monitoring physical and/or environmental conditions during application of roadway marking tape. The system includes a data logging system that is operative to monitor one or more environmental parameters and geographical location during application of roadway marking tape. The data logging system generates a record of the parameters indexed to location. The record may be used to ensure application compliance and/or allow a user to alter one or more application parameters to ensure application compliance.

Tape machine

Tape machine

An automated tape applicator that applies pavement marking tape to a pavement surface. The automated tape applicator may include dual knives for cutting two or more patterns simultaneously, a hinged frame that permits an adhesion roller to be lifted off the ground when not in active use, an electronic clutch for selectively engaging a tape feed mechanism, a swiveling front tire, an automated controller for simultaneous application of multiple markings and accurate dimensioning, and/or replaceable knife inserts.

WORK VEHICLE SYSTEM AND MAGNETIC MARKER WORK METHOD

A work vehicle system configured of a plurality of work vehicles performing work relating to magnetic markers to be laid on a road surface so as to be detectable by a magnetic sensor attached to a bottom surface side of a vehicle in order to achieve vehicle-side control for assisting driving operation of the vehicle by a driver or automatic driving not relying on operation of the driver, including a target acquisition apparatus which acquires a control target for travelling along a laying line where the magnetic markers are to be laid, an automatic steering apparatus for achieving automatic steering by controlling a steering angle of a steering wheel based on the control target, and a work apparatus which takes charge of the work relating to the magnetic markers.

PAVEMENT COMMUNICATION PLATFORM AND METHODS FOR USE THEREOF

The automated tape applicator may include dual knives for cutting two or more patterns simultaneously, a hinged frame that permits an adhesion roller to be lifted off the ground when not in active use, an electronic clutch for selectively engaging a tape feed mechanism, a swiveling front tire, an automated controller for simultaneous application of multiple markings and accurate dimensioning, and/or replaceable knife inserts.

Device for removing road tape
10584451 · 2020-03-10 ·

A device for removing road tape from a surface comprises a body, and a drive assembly coupled to the body. The drive assembly comprises a motor having a drive wheel, at least one drive belt, a rolling drum drive wheel configured to engage the at least one drive belt, and at least one rolling drum configured to secure an end of the road tape. The rolling drum is configured to rotate in response to rotation of the rolling drum drive wheel and wind the road tape about a circumference. The winding of the road tape drives the body in a forward direction.

GROUND TAPE APPLICATOR APPARATUS AND METHOD

A ground tape applicator is configured to apply adhesive tape to ground surfacers. The ground tape applicator includes a plurality of rollers that guide the adhesive tape to the ground surface and apply the adhesive tape to the ground surface. The ground tape applicator includes a blade configured to engage with the adhesive tape to cut the adhesive tape to a desired length.

Road taping machine

A road taping machine is configured to unspool road marking tape from a spool and tamp that tape onto pavement via a tamping roller. Tape is cut using a blade assembly, and aligned with several alignment rollers. A pivot arm permits a subset of the alignment rollers to displace, allowing slack in the tape to be taken in during cutting such that taping can occur continuously, despite cuts. The spool is housed on an axle anchored to a support arm that can be actuated between an elevated position for loading, and a depressed position for taping. A taping section of the machine is laterally displaceable relative to a drive section via a displacement plate, to permit taping of laterally remote locations. The machine can support multiple spools, including spools with tape paths that bypass the blade assembly.
