INTER-PENETRATING ELASTOMER NETWORK DERIVED FROM GROUND TIRE RUBBER PARTICLES
20220049101 · 2022-02-17 ·

Crumb rubber obtained from recycled tires is subjected to an interlinked substitution process. The process utilizes a reactive component that interferes with sulfur bonds. The resulting treated rubber exhibits properties similar to those of the virgin composite rubber structure prior to being granulated, and is suitable for use in fabricating new tires, engineered rubber articles, and asphalt rubber for use in waterproofing and paving applications.

A high friction surface coating comprising a resin and an aggregate, the aggregate comprising a blend of calcined bauxite and particles of sandstone and/or Tuff. Optionally, the particles of sandstone and/or Tuff in the aggregate may be from the Paleozoic era, including the Carboniferous, Devonian, Silurian, Ordovician and Cambrian periods.

Imprinted concrete with exposed aggregate

Systems and methods of imprinting concrete having exposed aggregate. The imprinted concrete system comprises a concrete layer, an imprinted layer disposed on the concrete layer, wherein the imprinted layer comprises a decorative aggregate, and has been imprinted with an imprinting tool. In some embodiments, the decorative aggregate may be at least partially exposed.

Organic Composition for Treating Roads
20210380810 · 2021-12-09 ·

A composition for treating roads includes a substrate having a coarse texture and being formed from fibers of wood, wood pulp, bamboo, sugar cane, or a combination thereof. The fibers each have a length less than about 25 mm (about 1 inch). The composition further includes an organic solution generated as a waste stream byproduct of a food-processing operation or the distillation of an alcohol. The substrate is at least partially saturated with the organic solution and has a freezing point in the range of −25° Celsius (−13° Fahrenheit) to −35° Celsius (−30° Fahrenheit). The composition may further include a salt or brine solution including two-to-five parts-by-volume of the at least partially saturated substrate, respectively, to eight-to-five parts-by-volume of the salt or brine solution, respectively, thereby resulting respectively in a 20% to 50% modified brine solution.

Method and apparatus for interlocking stamps
11319678 · 2022-05-03 · ·

Methods and apparatus are disclosed for stamping concrete. In one aspect, a stamp includes a top surface having a three dimensional pattern similar to the three dimensional pattern on its bottom surface. When a portion of a first stamp overlaps a portion of a second stamp, at least a portion of the three dimensional pattern on the bottom surface of the first stamp engages with at least a portion of the three dimensional pattern on the top surface of the second. The engagement between the three dimensional designs or patterns locks or registers the first stamp to the second stamp. In some aspects, a handle of the first stamp engages with a slot in the second stamp. In some aspects, a magnet of the first stamp is attracted to a magnet of the second stamp.
