CHUTE CONTROL ASSEMBLY FOR A SNOW THROWER
A chute control assembly for a snow thrower having a housing, handle, and a chute includes a control mechanism, a connecting mechanism, and a guide mechanism. The control mechanism includes an actuator mechanism that allows an operator to manually control the orientation of the chute from a position spaced apart from the chute. The connecting mechanism transfers rotation of the actuator mechanism to the guide mechanism. The guide mechanism is attached to the chute and rotates and adjust the orientation of the chute in response to rotation of the actuator mechanism in order to change the direction that snow is thrown from the snow thrower.
Autonomous path treatment systems and methods
An autonomous path treatment system and associated path treatment method uses a mobile path recording device having a locator, a processor and firmware to capture a sequence of coordinates and directions of travel of a path as the mobile device is moved along the path and generate a path program file. The system also has an autonomous path treatment robot having: a treatment mechanism for treating the path; a controller having a processor and memory storing firmware that when executed obeys steps of the path program file to control the motor and the treatment mechanism to treat the path; and a server configured to execute a path program to process the captured sequence of coordinates and directions into the path program file containing instructions for controlling the autonomous path treatment robot to treat the path based upon the coordinates.
SNOW REMOVAL SYSTEM AND SNOW REMOVAL METHOD
A snow removal system includes a work machine and a snow removal machine. The work machine includes a work unit configured to perform work and a position detector configured to detect a position of the work machine when the work unit has performed the work and generate position information indicating the detected position. The snow removal machine is capable of autonomous movement and includes a snow removal unit configured to perform snow removal work and a controller configured to cause the snow removal unit to perform the snow removal work on the basis of the position information.
Snow and ice evaporator
A snow and ice evaporating device that is an untethered device easily usable by an individual. The device has elements that resemble a traditional snow blower as well as a lawn mower, but that includes a salt hopper and a propane tank. The snow blower end operates much like a traditional snow blower with augers that break up snow and ice that are then expelled through a blower end. On the top of the device is a propane tank that provides flames to the bottom of the device, protected by a shroud that heat the surface being treated to melt both ice and snow. A salt hopper is situated on the back of the device which provides a means for applying salt to the treated surface to prevent refreezing. All portions of the device are easily controlled by and extended handle that the user uses to control these functions. The extended handle operates much like a lawn mower in that it allows the user to easily push the device which rolls on wheels and includes a kill switch to turn off the device in an emergency situation.
Surface Control Vehicles and Related Methods
A cold weather surface maintenance vehicle can include a housing at least partially surrounding an engine and defining at least one vent oriented to emit air from within the housing toward a user positioned on the user support structure. A controller of a maintenance vehicle can restrict or reduce a speed of an engine in response to temperature, operation of a hydraulic attachment, or operator position. A controller of a maintenance vehicle can control operation of a dispensing mechanism of a flowable material distribution device with the controller based on a position of a traction control of the maintenance vehicle.
Snow blower implement
A snow blower implement for a power machine includes a power machine interface having a machine mount configured to engage the implement interface of the power machine. A tool of the implement is coupled to the power machine interface. The tool includes a frame forming an auger housing, and the auger housing includes apertures formed in the housing and arranged to proved an operator of the power machine with visibility, through the apertures, of an implement workspace within or in front of the auger housing while operating the power machine.
Snowthrower impeller assembly with rigid cutting implement
An impeller assembly for a snowthrower includes a flexible impeller configured to rotate about an axis, wherein the flexible impeller extends radially from the axis to an impeller radial distance, and a cutting implement extending radially from the axis to a cutting implement radial distance less than the impeller radial distance, wherein the cutting implement is spaced apart from and does not contact the flexible impeller.
Extensible snowblower
A snowblower comprises an auger housing extending along a longitudinal axis and being configurable in a compacted configuration and in an extended configuration wherein a length of the auger housing considered along the longitudinal axis is greater in the at least one extended configuration than in the compacted configuration; and an auger assembly mounted to the auger housing and comprising: a telescopic drive shaft assembly including at least first and second shaft sections slidably mounted to each other to substantially conform to the length of the auger housing in each one of the compacted configuration and the at least one extended configuration; and snow-gathering devices mounted to the at least first and second shaft sections and rotatable therewith.
ACTUATABLE PLOW BLADE GROUND SUPPORT METHOD AND APPARATUS
A ground support apparatus for a material moving implement configured for moving a material from a surface. The material moving implement has a front surface and a rear surface. The ground support apparatus includes an actuating system that has at least one skid shoe actuator attached to the rear surface of the material moving implement, and at least one skid shoe operably coupled to the at least one skid shoe actuator. The skid shoe includes a first end configured for coupling to the at least one skid shoe actuator and a second end configured for contacting the surface. The ground support apparatus also includes manually-operated skid shoe controls operably connected to the actuating system and operable to actuate the at least one skid shoe actuator.
Snow removal device, vehicle, and track transportation system
A snow removal device includes: a brush rotary shaft that is mounted on a vehicle body traveling along a track and in front of a running wheel of the vehicle body and that is rotated in a direction opposite to the rotation direction of the running wheel; a travel brush part that protrudes radially outward from an outer circumferential surface of the brush rotary shaft and comes into contact with a runway of the track with which the running wheel is in contact; and a brush pressing part that presses the travel brush part toward the runway. The travel brush part is provided in a spiral region formed on the outer circumferential surface of the brush rotary shaft in a spiral manner extending toward an axis direction in which the axis extends as going toward a circumferential direction of the brush rotary shaft.
